None of the current Indian cricketers come from a lower background, they are all middle class lads either from metro cities, tier 1 or tier 2 bar the likes of natarajan and Karthik tyagi, let's not try find excuses, reason for these injuries is down to the fact these bowlers barely play domestic cricket, chahar for example has played a mighty 58 list A games since his debut way back in 2010, their training methods, workouts, drills are only for 4 over spells max, none of these guys are bowling fit except Siraj, shami and ishant and they barley spend time in the gym, but in the middle, Siraj has played close to 60 first class games in 6 years, he has not yet been injured.

Indian diet is also a very large consideration as well. The quality of food in Australia is much much higher than in India.

I will say one thing that has surprised me, is that I see a lot kids of Indian parents that migrated to Australia in the early 2000s, they are a lot more developed in physical stature to most Indians born in India.

A diet rich in quality protein from quality meat, chicken, eggs, milk coupled with fresh organic vegetables along with exercise that is a part of the school curriculum, I would say is a major contributing factor.

Unless your from an upper caste in India, youre not easily getting access to this every single day, 365 days a year.

I can understand Rohit's injury but injuries to Chahar and Sundar needs to be looked closely. Why are they getting injuried so often.

How can Kuldeep Sen become unfit after one odi where he did not even bowl his full quota of overs.

Fast bowlers can get injured even when they bowl one over. Sen has played a lot recently.

The injury list is very easy to explain.

Most Indian players have received a very poor foundation to their physical strength and fitness.

They severely lack the diet, exercise and rest components needed when they are growing as kids in order to undertake the physical demands as an adult in cricket.

To be honest its not surprising at all, especially more so given most cricketers come from a very lower background, so access to quality nutrition and exercise is lacking.

This is not complete rule, it however applies the majority, of course there are exceptions. Thats not to say it cannot be turned around, but its a lot more difficult to achieve as an adult, if the building blocks are not developed during the growth phase as a kid.

`However, when an apex body like NCA monitors you, they will make sure to go through nitty gritties and assign diet, workouts as per the physical condition. To me it seems like someone's not doing their job properly.

Indians overload on rice and roti with much less daal and veggies. This is the cause of pot bellies and diabetes. An athlete like Rohit has no excuse to grow a pot belly when he has the money and resources to have the top nutritionists and trainers to make him akin to Virat.. but he knows hes got the IPL lobby backing due to winning IPS tourneys so he can do what he wants and no one can touch him

Yes I noticed that.

Please dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the Indian cuisine, as I love it, but in moderation.

As you correctly highlighted there is zero excuses for Hitman. He has access to the best food 24/7 and has the luxury to have any healthy diet that will enable him to perform at his peak. Its so pathetic and sad, he has chosen to not take this option.

Even with my simple basic understanding of nutrition my diet is mainly high in protein, so its chicken, steak, salmon, eggs etc. I eat very rarely carb foods, like bread, rice, pasta, pizza. Of course in conjunction with exercise at the gym/ AFL and getting good quality sleep.

Its not to say I dont indulge as I do, but everything in moderation. My body fat is around 10-12%. Bare in mind, I once had a body fat bigger than HItman, at around 30%.

Coming from someone who himself is quarter fit.

He could get a heart attack if he had to run for 4 runs or had to field a ball one day.

Seriously wtf can’t Shaw play ,Sarfaraz play if this fatso can…

Shaw or Sarfaraz arent backed by the MI IPL Lobby are they? Its all about who has the most money and influence- sooner Indian chewt fans realise this the better. BCCI is a private organisation who pays cricketers to play matches- it theoretically doesn't represent India or puts its best interests in front of money.

I know they can get injured even if they bowl one delivery. But is it injury or stiffness. Stiffness is more a load management and fitness issue  than injury?

Gotta hand it to Ishant sharma lol That guy managed to stay injury free for a very long time.

Yes, conned the mass media & ultra (not so) secularists on this forum as well into how big of a match winner he was  :hysterical:
