He's extremely crucial for the BG series especially with Pant not around. Only inform player in our top order.

But you see Brat is also in form, at least that's what his fans say :nevermind:

Iyer will be fine. First test is on 9 Feb which is 22 days from now ie 3 weeks. Stiff back takes around a week of rest. Its good he got injured now rather than just before the series. He is our most imp batsmen faving up to the old ball and spinners

Curse of Sarfaraz but will he be included in test squad now?

It is learned that Iyer reported a stiff back immediately after the final ODI of the series against Sri Lanka on Sunday. Keeping in mind he is part of the Test squad for the series against Australia in February, BCCI's medical staff decided to ask him to head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru as a precautionary measure. As it stands Iyer, who reached NCA on Monday, is scheduled to rejoin the India squad in Nagpur for a preparatory camp ahead of the first Test against Australia on February

Ideally Iyer and Sarfraz together at 5 and 6 is the only way India can win against Australia.

Gujara'a useless 2nd innings 100 in BD allowed him to keep his spot. IN order to protect his place they awarded him man of the series.

Pujara can still be very usefull at home. He also has a really good record against the current Aussie bowlers.

Hopefully can't care less about this ODI series... SKY & Patidar both are capable replacements.

Its more baffling how KL is never injured.

Doesn't spend a lot of time at the crease.  While wicket keeping is thankless job goal keeping is not.
