I can't wait to see Head batting. But England has no pace bowler to unleash bouncers against him.

They bounced our clueless batters in Edgbaston last year though in second dig...  Stokes can do that even Broad.

Yes. Their team's strength is smartness as much as babzall.  Even the test they lost to NZ was just by one run.

They didn't score 600 against us. lol Odds they won't here as well.

this is a much flatter pitch for fast bowlers than the oval. Oval was a grassy surface and apart from Siraj, no bowler bowled well on day 1.

Siraj is the only world class bowler we have. Shami is past by sell date. Bumrah don't know if he will play another Test.

World class is bit too much for Siraj, he is good.Let him take more than one 5fer before calling him world class.

You still think England depends on wickets? They bowled on flat roads in Paksitan and stifled them 3 times back to back. Australia couldn't bowl Pakistan out on day 5. Babar scored 196 runs.

Actually with a different bowling unit he will shine better. He is at top of his game. But if he bowls with a better set of bowlers he will be very good. He was doing a semi-workhorse role

Pointless declaration.

Root could have scored more. Having said that this Australian side bar Head is a defensive side. They won't be aggressive. It will take more than a day to overhaul their total. If they want a lead it will take almost 2 days for them leaving only 2 days to force a result. England will have the advantage of bowling last.

Ben Stokes - can't bat, doesn't bowl, do weird declaration out of no where.

It will be interesting to see how many days this maverick approach of England lasts.

Until they run into a side that has 2 or 3 pants who wipe off the deficit in no time and get the lead plus Good captain and set of bbowlers.

I don't think so, he does not have pace nor does have control on leaking runs.

He is top of his game that does not mean he becomes world class. He sis far from being world class.

Think this Australia is that side which will bust the bubble of England this series.

Thatr is why i said unit. Unit works to a plan better. Siraj right now has no guidance. He is on his own. A clueless captain who has no knowledge of opposition weaknesses.

Given the way India managed to take WTC final to day 5 even with atrocious preparation, team selection,  captaincy tells me Australia is not quiet the ruthless side. Smith as a captain would be far better than Cummins. Cummins has to step up massively. He is their lead strike bowler.

road to Warner, no run

Good length on fourth stump, 87mph and stabbed towards backward point

2.3
Broad to Warner, no run

Hits a length, 88mph/141kph and possibly shaping back. Warner watches it closely and leaves alone

broad still bowling in early 140s, while Robinson struggling to bowl 130.
