Won't be long before each team having two keepers one with ability to bowl and bat. Where as we are regressing.
vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Australia will try to keep them on the field as long as possible. as it is a 5 test series. They have no ARcher/Wood. Probably woakes will walk into this side or OVerton.
vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Basically they replace one tukloo with another :)
vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Bairstow is definitely one of the worst keeper against spin i have seen
Nikola Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Carey is such an upgrade over tim paine for australia. They got rid of his poor captaincy too.
Stan AF Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Very much Australia's day. 297 runs scored with the loss of just 5 wickets. Also khawaja 100 Kothili 1
vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Carey has poor record against ENgland/India. As usual like any other Aussie has bullied Pakistan
Frustrated Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Anderson and Robinson hv bowled a combined 32 overs. And got ZERO wicket. nevada and AKane 1 1

putrevus Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 If England concede 100 plus lead they will still play bazball.
Frustrated Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 At one point Aus were reeling at 67/3 with Smith getting dismissed cheaply. Now 311/5. True justification of a WTC champ Yes, Bairstow missed a few chances. But then Head also had dropped 1 catch and did a few misfields on day1. So, it evens out. nevada 1

We were 320 for 5 from 98/5 yet went on to lose the test after taking the lead. Atleast we dominated their batting in the first innings. England basically gifted the wicket made a crazy delcaration. I don't rate Australia yet over England. Will wait until the series is over. Australian bowling is so far less penetrative in comparison. Frustrated and cowboysfan 2

Bigg Brother Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Not only the declaration but brainless slogging by Stokes and Moeen yesterday was also pointless. Australia isn't just any other team and they have showed it today. England just can't afford to declare it prematurely when their bowling attack consists of retired Ali, aged Anderson and trundler Robinson. With Archer and Wood in the side, they could have done it differently but this attack is just below par and flat pitch isn't helping them either. Khwaja is gritty player and he showed why he is one of the best and underrated opener in world cricket today. The only weak link in their batting is Warner. Frustrated 1
Kothili Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 (edited) England bazball is a bunch of BS. Aussies rightfully #1. Labu duck was a gift. Edited June 17, 2023 by Kothili
