Re Sarfraz,  he has never convinced me at all.  Rajat Patidar looked like a better player than him.  Then we have Tilak Varma who is now big investment looks like. 

I think batting stocks are dry but rather pick players in form.

Have some A tours to filter our next Gen batters & bowlers. 

 

Pujara will be back for sure. I see him playing in SA in name of eggsperience.

 

A tours can be helpful but these guys need more opportunity to judge

Yeah can't rule him out...  But he does have a sh**y record in SA.  So not all hope is lost. 

I can bet anything if it was Australia he would be back with 100% confirmation. 

Jaiswal needs to grab his chance as his debut is almost confirmed now.

batting stocks are not dry, just pick middle order batters averaging 50 plus in FC and openers averaging 45 plus.  Cant judge players based on one odd matches.  Players should not be on judging sword after failures in one or two matches.

These one trick trundlers are curse.

 

I am all for one trundler spot in XI but that trundler must contribute with bat or offer something unique with ball.

 

These vyshak kumar, nagarswalla, sakariya, mukesh etc. offers zilch.  Just check their recent IPL stats.

Not sure what is really alarming - Vyshak taking wickets with short balls or the fact these batsmen can't seem to play him

I don't think so, batting avg and bowling avg in FC are most leading. A guy like Vihari was avg 60 but he was not cut out in international cricket.

 

Abinav Mukund was unable to put bat on ball.He was averaging nearly 60 in  FC. Vinay Kumar is by far best fast bowler in FC in terms of avg and achievements.

 

You have always pick based on potential and reward few for exception FC performance.Playing a season or two should be mandatory for endurance.

 

Sarfraz looked overmatched facing fast bowlers in IPL that must have played an important role along with his fitness.
