Wouldn't be a bad idea. Modi is used to brute majorities where he doesn't have to please allies. Modi has never had to deal with BJP not being in majority whether it is as PM or CM. 

 

Gadkari would actually be a good choice as he has that "Vajpayee" like personality of taking everyone along.

7 phase election was a drag. Seems like voter interest was dininished by the long election. They need to get it done in fewer phases or at least the phases need to be completed in a shorter time.
