Karachi is far away man... We would be fine killing Mirpuri terrorists Punjabi army in jungles of Muzzafarabad and Bhimber :hysterical:

My naive knee-jerk reaction:

 

I see the results as a blessing in disguise for the current government. Being that they are way better than the alternative, it is a good thing they are coming back to form the government. But, not having the same or better than their current majority should shake them out of any complacency. They should do some heavy introspection on how they can re-prioritize in order to govern better for the people.

 

It also dispels the myth that India has an "authoritarian" government. Instead, these results prove, yet again, that India has a thriving democracy and governments can and will be held accountable.

 

So, what is next for this government? To me, it is easy. Focus on 3 things:

(1) Economic development (2) Economic development (3) Economic development


Prioritize high-quality manufacturing, agricultural productivity, biotechnology, and the teaching of scientific temper and rational thought from a young age.

 

All election campaigns and branding on behalf of govt should focus entirely on development metrics. Nothing else should matter - an economically strong nation will automatically be good for cultural development, social justice and fostering people's rights.

May work in Chennai, but outside of Chennai ... I highly doubt it.
