Pitch/Conditions in Ahmedabad are slightly concerning

This is like CT2017. teams were chasing well in the group stages.  IIRC, Ind lost to SL just prior to finals batting first and that likely influenced their decision to bowl first in the final.

One thing to factor in is the pressure of chasing in Ind-Pak games.  There are a lot of variables i.e pitch, conditions, team strengths but  Pakistan have been poor chasers in pressure situations against India.
If you bat first and score 350+ then chasing 350 is mammoth even if you factor in pressure with dew. Pitches play slower in the first innings like other venues so your spinners come in a bit and batting is on average more difficult than 2nd innnings.
In second innings, the new ball phase probably becomes crucial, if you don't lose wickets, and dew settling in after 20 overs, you're still in the game with spinners becoming less effective.

The pitches have played better in the second innings so far in most of the matches. Even in first game Eng vs NZ, pitch became easier to bat on in 2nd innings

Batting first:
-Pitch could be slower,
-spinners in play more, ball may grip more for all bowlers.

Batting Second
- Factor in pressure of chasing..if chasing 350 range, you're on the backfoot
- New ball phase becomes the deciding factor, early loss of wickets and on the backfoot. Under lights, there's often some movement for pacers
- High probability of dew after 20 overs, spinners less effectve.  Ball was changed after 30 overs in first game
- Overall pitch plays better in 2nd innings.

It comes down to.
Pressure of chasing (if high score)  vs Dew (or just the pitch playing better in 2nd innings).

It's better to chase. India can chase 300-320 comfortably . Not every match is 2017 CT final against pak , for heavens sake in India , the ball doesn't  swing/seam the way it happens in England.

India should have muscle memory/mental fall back in chasing prior to the knock outs. We may encounter NZ/SA in knock outs and may loose the toss and be asked to chase.

Why not chase in a high pressure game now and be prepared for the knock outs?

Are Bhai 337 was never chaseable in a high pressure final. Should have batted first after winning the toss. It was a sunny morning with a flat pitch and Pak themselves were very poor chasers.

Yes as the old man Don said - you bat first 9/10 times after winning the toss, the 10th time you think a bit & still bat first - or some thing like that :cantstop:

We prefer Hyderabad. Hyderabad provides a good sporting pitch. Moreover, We have a very good ground support at Hyderabad than India.  :cantstop:

The first time we loved playing in Dhaka, we created Bangladesh for ourselves.

For the first time now, we love playing in Quetta Balochistan. :cantstop:
