Against this RSA - Need a spin heavy attack - they will decimate trundlers

Recommended Posts

Only good experience spinners have had some sort of leash on this RSA batting.

Shardul and Hardik's bowling will be yield 80 runs+ each in 10 overs.

Need Jaddu+Kuldeep+ Ashwin + Bumrah + Siraj (not the version that has been giving 2-3 boundary balls an over ). against RSA.

Hardik in as pure batter.

we need hardik as AR. we don't have enough spots to play him as pure batter. it should be 3+3.

bumrah, hardik (4-5 overs), siraj/shami + kuldeep + jaddu  + ashwin

Against Pak , although he took 2 wickets, Hardik bowled like a part time trundler.

His bowling would be decimated against RSA.

if he is not bowling at his best , he must play as a pure batter.

those 30 additional runs leaked by an all rounder who is bowling poorly can be the diff between winning and losing.

he can be used for 4 overs in the quieter spells (2+2), like T20s. the other 5 bowlers will take care of rest. the reason is that at least 1 of remaining 5 will have a bad day too (likely siraj or kuldeep)

we will lose big time vs NZ and SA. thrashings vs both are possible in principle. but we should fortunately make it to SFs

If we lose to NZ who is without Kane their best player - and on our own home turf - I hope we *ing lose the World Cup because we don’t deserve to win .

We should hammer the daylights of NZ.

RSA - now that’s a different challenge.

Kane is far from their best ODI player. arguably conway and latham are better.

Even if we win vs NZ, the moment we face them in KOs, we are likely to fold like a pack of cards.

as for SA, Klaasen is waiting to beat the crap out of ravi "darter" jaddu, kuldeep "fragile" yadav, and ravi "overthinker" ashwin.

yes, this is a bit of a reverse jinx post, before people get triggered

Reverse jinx as in Kane will deliver in semis vs india and knock us out?

yes but we can revolve our strategy around it.

cannot revolve strategy based on something that is not your control like the toss.

if we lose the toss and we are to chase … that is where the strategy should be focussed … how to contain their batting mixing the bowling and exploiting  their relative  weakness against spin

also based on 1 match against minnows to assume RSA can’t chase  .. is also wrong

1 match is no sample size.

In Delhi we opened with Sundar and Siraj we bowled them out for 99 last year. Then kuldeep destroyed them with 4 for 18.

Exactly.

They can be dominated if our spinners bowl well.

It would be a disastrous decision by the team management if we don't play the trio of  Ashwin + Jaddu + Yadav against them.
