Nothing to be happy about this win. This a third rate Aussie bowling attack with just about 1.5 decent bowlers.

My take -

1. Smith gifted the match to India.

2. India too had only 2 decent bowlers - 1 (surprise , surprise Moookesh ). 0.5 (arsh) 0.5 ( Axar)

3. Worst bowling by Prasidh -  Prasidh is not  T20 bowler.need to drop the experiment .

4. Bishnoi - Do not see any improvement in his bowling - very difficult to hold on to his place on good pitches . Bowling , catching  everything was utter crap. Losing hope as a T20 bowler for WC .

5. Surya - Every team will try to bowl only slow rising cutters. Needs to change his game to counter these kind of deliveries by tall pacers , else he will be contained .

6. Rinku - One guy as uses his batting smarts as a finisher . Impressed by his cool headness, good thinking to run a single when ball went to keeper, again trying to get 2 runs even though arsh got out .Impressed .

7. Need to revise my assessment of Mukesh , seem to have developed his T20 bowling skills a bit more . Glad to see that effort . Credit where due . T20 bowling is not just about pace & bounce .

8. The one impressive point about batting was the positive intent by youngsters .

atleast fresh to watch fearless cricket by youngsters. Imagine kohli and rahul chasing this… would have left 100 in five overs for our crazy good batters in tail to chase it down!. Reminds of of laagan …our tail that is

And no two ways about his batting. He can hit all over the ground. Doesn't have a favorite area to hit. He can really intimidate the bowlers. Gaining a reputation slowly.

If you go back to IPL 2022 thats where he build his reputation.. on a floundering KKR campaign which had iyer Rinku was a revelation..he singlehandedly won 2 matches and nearly won an improbable chase.. kkr kept faith and 2023 ipl was his breaking the door campaign..

I'm happy with Mukesh, Rinku, Jaiswal. 3 positives of this game.

Because SKY was made captain after worst performance ever by a finisher.

Should have tried a fully young team with no need for making SKY captain as it was obviously done after Pandya got injured midway through world cup.

This seniority culture was the reason SKY was selected in ODI WC over Samson, Kishan, Jaiswal, Rinku etc.

Same was done with KL Rahul before also.

SKY was Pandya's Vice Captain for a year in T20s. So he was a very obvious choice for captaincy in Pandya's absence. Yes, his selection in ODIs was wrong at many levels but in T20s he hasn't put a foot wrong. Even in WI when everyone was failing he won us 1 match single handedly.

SKY on a flat ahmedabad track would have pantzed aussies.. he did it in the 1st and 2nd odi of the tri series.. if one has to be blamed its bcci not sky.. no one in the world can come and start hitting from ball 1 in the 42nd over with half the sides gone, abrasive pitch, old ball and world cup final against 3 gun bowlers..if this was a flat ahmedabad deck india would have been 320/4 in 47 th over when sky would have come to bat.. he was prepared for that..but bcci had other ideas.. oversmart jokers..

Im kohlis fan but his sr in this wc was disgusting to watch. He played for his batting average n hundreds. Time to step away soon. It will only happens when he averages 60.

Their famed bowling attack would have done Jack on this pitch. We recently smashed them for 399 not too long ago.

and thats why heart is still bleeding.. big ahmedabad ground.. bumrah shami in prime kuldeep going great guns and jadeja bowking wonderfully.. on flat pitch we would have killed them..and we had done it to nz 3 days ago.. sigh.. india will never be champions till they have mental midgetry and short cut to success ideas.. we won gabba because we had no fear against best aussie attack in history with a nothing to lose attitude.. and her we did the opposite..

This series was planned before the final itself as a possible consolation prize to India if India lost in the WC.

On top of that people like Kumble are yapping about how Rohit does not need to be taught how to hit centuries etc......

STFU Kumble and BCCI you can shove this consolation prize of yours.

Yeah but their famed bowling attack did the job when it mattered. Oh and our famed bowling attack did jack squat when it mattered. In our house and our pitch too.

India has very less time for practice of T20 WC

That 399 we got was against an attack which did not hv Cummins and Starc. (It was the 2nd Odi).    In the 3rd ODI, both of them returned and we lost it on a flat rajkot pitch.  So, I doubt if we could hv outplayed Aus on a flat patta. It's very much 50-50 I believe.

They had done their homework. Cummins was bowling fast against an off spinners field..... that requires a lot of thinking. Cummins executed the tactic perfectly with the offcutters.

its just dumb selection. He should only be picked for Tests, his predictable bowling is suicide in T20 cricket.

He is okay in ODis too. In t20s he lacks variety
