3. Not one new lower order pacer with some batting ability - Should have tried Harshit Rana , Raj Bawa . 

4. Worst selection of pacers - ODI is where you have cushion of 2 years to select rookies like Mayank Yadav, Tyagi. Not a single new pacer with 140+ pace. Horrible .   Should have at least 2 new pacers in the 15 amongst Harshit, Mayank, Kaverappa, Tyagi.

Test Series - Fine except Shardul Thakur. 

India A - Poor squad . A team should have been used for providing exposure to India material  & building gaps in India Team. Really Horrible except Spin department.

1. Just see only 2 potential batsmen. 

2. Good selection of spinners potential wise  in Saurabh, Manav Sutar, Narang .

3. No Pace allrounder getting exposure.

4. No Test match new pacers .

3. Very poor pace pool - only 1 OK selection - Kaverappa.

Test squad is surprisingly very good..  If a Fit India XI plays on boxing day Test... No reason why we can't win again. 

 

Agarkar perhaps only knows about better batsman & has selected fine batters in T20s & ODIs..  (Except Jaiswal's exclusion in ODIs) 

Bowling is all over the shop in India A,  T20 & ODI teams.  No vision nothing

The T20 WC is in the Windies.

 

On our home pitches an attack of Bumrah, Shami, Siraj, Jadeja, Kuldeep did not win the WC either. Quite a hiding in the final. I guess the selectors said "what the heck do we have to lose?".

We didn't lose WC final because of bowlers.

Yeah batsmen should score 397 and then the great bowlers will bowl out opposition for 327.

 

When the batsmen score 240 and the bowlers lay an egg then it is all batsmens fault.

 

Not for me - as much the bowlers failed as the batsmen.

.T20 players won't win you tests everyday of the week.

I have accepted that they are just going by the franchisee suggestions.

Gaekwad is a potential CSK quota captain...hence he comes in all 3 formats..same goes for Jadeja.

 

KL Rahul well has Dravid's influence.

At least there is no Rahane and Pujara to stink up the batting and soak up the blame.

 

The rest get the chance, all have to perform and there are no usual whipping boys to take the blame if there is a defeat on the cards.

thats probably it but i will look to give Prasidh a chance,the extra bounce in SA will suit his bowling.

No Thakur please - because with Indian bowling strategy he will get to bowl around/after over 25 to set batsmen and that is hard on any pace bowler. There is no point so take Ashwin for a  well used ball.

 

Windies played 4 pace bowlers in heyday. most others used 3.

 

Thing is even Croft and Garner did not bowl after over 25. They were far better than Thakur of course. I must admit that Bumrah and Shami are far superior to Holding and Roberts who are not even in the same zipcode as Bumrah and Shami. /sarc
