NZ has always found it tough against BD, especially in BD. How cunningly they avoided the test series in BD in 2021 (Covid excuse) and edged out Aus for a spot in the WTC final!!!!! Isn't talked about enough, they had to beat BD 2-0 back then to stay ahead of Aus, even a drawn test would have cost them the finalist spot.

All other Asian sides know how to play NZ, even Toygers, who btw won a test in NZ last time and got a series draw.

Even we were so so close to losing a test there last time. Eng, Aus have dropped tests here, both only managed to draw their series, 2015 RSA (with Amla, ABDV, Faf, Steyn etc.) was saved by rain.

Last time NZ toured BD for a test series was way back in 2013, since then BD must have toured NZ 3-4 times, no wonder NZ artificially boost up their ranking.

 

Even in 2013, the test series was a draw lmao.

This is The reason WTC is BS . You play how many matches decide your spot in Final .there should be uniformity

This decade Bangladesh should consolidate their home advantage. By 2035 I expect them to be the 2nd best Asian team (taking into account economy etc).

Toygers did well.

 

A disgraceful bunch but they deserved to win. Only minnows like toygers revel in seeing other Asian teams lose as they having nothing to be proud of in their cricketing history.

Bangaldesh has beaten  E,N,A in Bangladesh so far. It is very hard place to tour for SENA countries. THey just need to beat SOuth Africa to complete wins over SENA

Mirpur pitch even on day 1 like a minefield. This match will be over in a dy or two. BD may create history here.

Mirpur is probably toughest place to play spin rn...  Galle is easy these days. 

Perhaps only Red soil Mumbai Turner comes close to it. 

Bangla won a crucial toss. 

Brother Ravindra would have done better than likes of Nichols. 

Crazy call to leave him out.  No point in playing Jamieson here too.

Mehidy's darts are near unplayable with no bounce to work with. 

Forever indebted to Shreyas & Ashwin for that rearguard in 4th inns..  Chokli dropping Liton multiple times had cost us the game almost.

NZ is not the first team they took down at Mirpur. I think they did the same to Australia and England. That Australian team had Steve smith. It was definitely one of the greatest under-rated escape in Indian history. Imagine the humiliation !!
