He is such a devasting player and a leftie. He call bowl as well, why is he being ignored… for t20’s i mean!

Many players have been left after performing well without any reason.

 

A player who can bat at any position,can bowl medium pace has been left out of the selection in a team full of batsman who don't bowl and bowlers who don't bat

Selectors & TM has some favourites, and they will be given a longer rope..while the replacements will be ditched the moment they fail even for one game.

All rounder quota is occupied by Saridon Pandya. No one else is allowed to come close to that. When Pandya is innjured we will play with 5 proper no. XIs but will not try anyone else.

Well we dont have any reliable pace AR..thats the issue..We hv tried vijay Shankar..Shivam Dubey..Venky Iyer.…..Shardul Thakur..

out of these only Thakur is a better bowler but his batting isnt rekiable at all,..

of the younger lot..Arshin seems to be bowling like Jimmy Neesham  pacewise..

Raj Bawa is the best choice and need to ne groomed..he  hits the deck and have batting talent..

or Groom proper spin AR..we even dont have them..hoping Abhsihek Sharmma,Nishant Sindhu,Badoni may improve..

VenkateshbIyer batting was main skill..he need to be back with good scoring form..

Makes no sense they don't even try or groom someone like Raj Bawa.  He should be playing A series in SA or heck even those useless ODIs.

In a fair world, he would have been backed to slot in after Pandya's injury. But BCCI makes PCB look like Alphabet Inc.

Could even have been asked to play ahead of SKY once Hardik limped off.

They weren't tried enough in my opinion.  Vijay Shankar should have been given a longer run in ODI in the lead up to 2023. Same with Venky in T20s

I don't know about "devastating," but he is/was a good enough talent who should've been kept around and groomed into a batting A/R option.

he wears a gold chain but dsnt wear a peace symbol tattoo on his neck like brittlepandy. Even sir brittle does not believe in peace but he just wears to score some imsta loves

He should be groomed as a backup for Hardik Pandya.

 

Problem is even KKR don't use his bowling well. They have got terrible pacers but for some reasons don't know how to use Venky.

 

If you gonna play Hardik fully fit, you don't need a Jadeja or Axar at 7. Hardik is a good bowler when fully fit for atleast 3 overs. Tilak Verma can be used as 6th bowler.

 

If Hardik is injured, then you play V Iyer as 6th bowler and play Axar at 7 who can give you 3 overs minimum regularly.

Hardik Pandya has six pack goes to gym regularly. Deepak chahar also doe that. But Thakur doesn't do any of that . But he seems to be the only one who hardly misses a match due to injury

It depends on person to person. Kohli is a fitness freak himself and never really got injured.

 

Ultimately point is what has Indian TM learned from Pandya's injury in WC'23? Nothing. If they had learned, they would have included Venky Iyer in the squad especially when you are willing to give #7 spot to a bowling A/R like Axar or Jadeja.

Hardik and Tewatia is best combo as 5th/6th bowlers.

 

If Hardik isn't there, we can have Venky/Tewatia/Tilak/Jaiswal making up 5th bowler

 

In any case, we need to back Tewatia at 7 instead of Axar/Sundar etc
