srgadjon Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Get rid of all the deadwood like Rohit, Kohli, Hardik, Jadeja, Chahal, SKY and force them into retirement in all formats. Kick out the pappu nepo kid Jay Shah and make Ganguly BCCI president. Make Gambhir as coach and select a young fearless team for all 3 formats.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Don't hold your breath. Nothing has changed despite repeated failures at the big stage for more than a decade now. Selectors are useless and BCCI is a political organization. Essentially the players select themselves and the same set of players will continue to play till they decide to leave as our selectors are more a decoration piece.

I used to be an Indian cricket fan but can't get myself to support these bunch of jokers in team as well as management. Lol Guess will need to take an extended break from watching Indian cricket for a bit till things change for the better. Ultimate_Game 1
Bigg Brother Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 They flopped Superbad in 2021 version. What happened? We are playing with more or less same batting order. Ultimate_Game and Vijy 1 1
cricketfan28 Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Sharma and kohli will retire either way , this will be their final t20 series.Sky won't be touched either way, he is the next big superstar in t20 after sharma and kohli.

Anything with money attracts politicians in India, and that's it. Look at Jay Shah. Do you think he would have had anything to do with cricket if there wasn't any money in cricket? That's not going to go away. You'll attract vultures like Jay Shah who have no understanding of cricket, and are not fit to run BCCI. Can you imagine Cricket Australia or ECB's head making a statement "Steve Smith is going to be the captain for WT20" the way Jay Shah nominated Rohit Sharma as the captain for WT20 despite no track record of performing in T20s and no form whatsoever? We're destined to remain mediocre. Just like SA held itself back due to player quota system, we're holding ourselves back due to incompetence and politicization of BCCI. Sgattick10 1

If SKY doesn't show up against a decent team, he'll be in the same category as TTFs. He has been around for a long time and he's following the same path as our stars, i.e. show up in bilaterals or group stages, and go missing at the crunch. So far SKY hasn't done much at the world stage. Let's see if things change but one more failure here, would be better to move on from him. Vijy and Frustrated 2

SKY hasn't failed as much simply coz he hasn't played as much. If anything he deserves atleast half the rope those guys got. I'm only talking about T20, shouldn't even be considered as reserve for longer formats. Ultimate_Game and Sgattick10 2

Pakistan Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 That should had been after home World Cup loss as done after 2007 ODI World Cup so fresh team sent to South Africa for T20 which Bharat won. Ultimate_Game 1

The fact that he made his intl debut at the age of 32 suggests that he never had the skill set required at intl level. At best, he is a Hack/Minnnow basher. One odd decent knock against SA in the WT20 2022 does not make him a decent batsman. (And his hundreds in useless bilaterals against C teams hardly matter). I believe this WT20 would be his last show. Along with our retiring oldies. (Needless to mention their names). Ultimate_Game 1
kosingh Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 More than these princess cricketers, it's going to be more fun cheering for the likes of Neeraj Chopra this summer.

Sharma will retire mostly, Kohli won't. SKY's isn't any superstar, he has his utility just like Kedar Jadhav had for some amount of time. SKY is already knocking 34 and he will be replaced soon. If he doesn't show up in big moments this time around, I will have to revoke his National Treasure status. Ultimate_Game and coffee_rules 1 1
coffee_rules Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 No "if", change the title to "when". When India fials in WT20.
