Don't really see anything wrong in what he said. This is not arrogance but confidence in themselves and their abilities  This is what any sportsperson would think. They all believe they're the best and their team will be the winners. That's the mentality elite athletes have. I would like any Indian captain to say exactly the same, i.e., they expect they would be there at the end, and don't care who the opponent is

I know it is a good attitude, but it is good to mock when they got eliminated. Kind of schadenfreude

Agreed on the mocking part and I love Aussies crying about Afg cheating claims. But in this case can't see it arrogance. Maybe they should've gone with "How does it feel to see Afg take the SF spot?" or some such. But yeah any tourney where Aus is knocked out is a good one

Like Americans, Australians tend to use "don't care" in a milder way than we do. "Don't care" to them simply means "Doesn't matter."

 

With our kids, we'll ask "guys, you want gobi matar or bhindi bhaaji tonight?"

Answer: "Don't care."

I still have to take a deep breath when I hear that.
