But she is also competing in lower weight , normally she competes in 72 KG , here she was in 68 KG. Cos there is no 72 kg in Olympics wrestling. 50, 53, 57, 62, 68, 76 One of the modern greats Jordan Burroughs said this Maybe stories like this will wake up the IOC. Wrestling needs MORE than six weight classes! After three tough matches against world class opponents, no athlete should have to spend the night preparing for a Gold medal in this manner. Absolute desperation from the Indian team… pic.twitter.com/67l7Uleg1P— Jordan Burroughs (@alliseeisgold) August 7, 2024 New guy and putrevus 2

Yes, as me and @neel roy were discussing, they must have explored every possibility, studied rules, looked for loopholes. Apart from her team, many were there including Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala (top doctor), Gagan Narang, Bindra, PT Usha, Viren Rasquinha, to somehow get her to make the cut today. ganeshran Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Still cant believe that Antim Panghal qualified over Phogat and then promptly $hit the bed so badly. Indian wrestling said athletes can try for two weight categories (UWW rules say this is not allowed). If they could try in both categories, which Phogat did, then why tf were trials not scheduled on different days. Phogat was wrestling 53 at 50 kg body weight which is a huge disadvantage. Our medal chances would have been much better

But overall, I am saying if conflicting information is there the status quo should be maintained. You guys are literally defending rapists accused by Indian athletes who literally break down crying and put their career at stake. Something about innocent unless guilty etc. But when it comes to these cases you should have a witch hunt even when things are not clear? Innocent until proven guilty is the most “liberal “ human rights activists’ policy and you here are mocking it? They will revoke your lifetime membership . Not privy to IBA vs IOC politics , he was disqualified by IBA. So, IOC is supreme for Olympics has the authority to certify. Nothing we can do about it. As you say, cow down to status quo

Yesterday morning 49.9 kg but fasted, avoided water for several days leading up to that to make the cut. Yesterday she had some food, water to last the 3 matches and her weight shot to almost 53 kgs. It's not her natural weight if she has to move heaven and earth to keep it below that threshold. Gollum 1
