Yes, Arjun Babuta was even in contention for Gold and then finished 4th. 

Archery, in hindsight, didn't hurt that much now after seeing the level of other archers. We didn't deserve to even play QF.

Country will get one medal. And in individual tally both will show as having one each against their name from this event (with Manu showing a total of 2 medals so far for her overall).

Bollywoodias made Milkha Singh's biopic and didn't pay him a penny. Their PR credited SRK for last time's hockey success. Neeraj has better personality than all their stars, won't allow such people to snatch their endorsements.

Lots of rumors but wasnt anything concrete, there were also rumors about him joining political parties. He wont have time for anything like that, he is at his peak of his career.

Yeah but those are all historic people and its not just Bollywood which screws over people they make biopics of. Current players hopefully have better legal sources to help them if any deals happen. But thats different than casting the athlete's themselves in movies

Indian trap shooters are poor. Both men and women are languishing in 20's where only top 6 qualify for the final.

 

Why did trap shooting fell apart after Rathore silver in 2004 Olympic??

Archery is a joke. Deepika should be retired by now. Don't see her continuing. Men's team is also mediocre not of medal calibre.

Our archers I believe are better than what they have displayed so far. What hurts is their habit of producing worst shot at the time when we need their best.

Milkha Singh wanted just ₹1 as payment. He asked producers to donate money (reasonable amount, nothing outlandish) for some charity he was supporting, but they didn't, and ignored him later wheh he enquired. He was disappointed over that.

Trap shooters have been poor for some time. In fact I think they haven't qualified for the Olympics in the middle till this time. Not much expected from them - but their current show is poor. A couple of folks did ok in the Asian Games.

Neeraj doesn't stays in India much anyway as per him. Likes to train overseas and avoids distractions.

I think we will medal in sprint events, TT, diving, gymnastics (Dipa Karmakar was 4th in Rio), swimming before archery.

They have had enough support this time. I doubt most other countries would have got the support they got this time around. They just collectively failed - except for Bhajan Kaur.

1-2 medals from manu 25m, samra 50m plus maybe tomar in 50m and shooting will have done it’s job. Onto the others.
