His struggles have been more pronounced in home tests tbh. 

 

He doesn't enjoy batting against spin these days.

He will hv struggles on all front in the subcontinent. Thats the worst part.  He is now a UK citizen.  India is too hot & humid for him nowadays.  His body language, gesture etc on the field during the BD series were like that of a european trying to adapt to these conditions.

His biggest issue was his team selections! Dropping Umesh/Shami(?) in CT 2017 finals bowling first, dropping an inform KL to pick thigh slapper in SA, then playing musical chairs with openers though Eng/SA tour, picking two spinners on a green/damp Lords, not picking Jadeja in fourth test, picking collar abuser/dropping Shami in 2019 SF the list is literally *ing endless! I can excuse the odd failure or two, in fact he's still our best bat in that period but our failures are also his own doing - maybe he was influenced a bit too much by MS but then MS should never have been picked after 2017 CT disaster either 

 

Brat as a cap is *ing overrated, with the teams we had we should've won trophies left/right & center

I feel Pak is going to miss Nauman Chachu. Test needs accurate finger spinners who have lot of overs under the belt. Jack leach helped control the innings even though he was attacked in between. Salman will take some wickets. It is going to be a spinners pitch
