Kotian has a first class batting average of 45.34 in 30 matches. That too coming at No. 8.
This itself is a special feat. Rock solid temperament. ( just like Ashwin)
 

Need to work on his bowling though.

I have seen his bowling. I m afraid he lacks variation. Another jayant yadav maybe but not ashwin. Saransh jain on the other hand has better variations and gives it a proper rip.. but Saransh is 31.. saransh aslo has a fc batting average of 27

Good to see a deserving player get a call up. He's unlikely to play in the Test series but his selection is encouraging for Kotian.

Kuldeep has a skill that not many can practice against. I am not sure why management goes out of the way to back him. He should be persisted even with odd failures. He can bring run through sides on his day.
