I would like that. Niggle out KL and bring in Sudarshan and play him in Perth. But will they do it ! The Indian cricket fraternity have very little trust in newbies. They prefer familiar failures. If Sai outperforms KL, selectors' hands will be forced to pick Sai ahead of KL. After all you can't select someone when they're being out=performed by others.

On top of that our team management picked Siraj as the night-watchman, pushed Sarfaraz at 8 and Sundar came in too late every innings. We're charting new territories here, and some of it is mind boggling tweaker and Vk1 1 1
bowl_out Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Is the India vs India A warm up officially cancelled? That would have been a good chance to see who is doing well and who is not

In 2007 they won us WT20, in 2013 the newbie team after Sehwag, Gambhir etc. were dumped won CT. In 2020-21 newbies beat Aus in Aus which is probably our greatest series win. And in 2022 we beat Eng 4-1 when we gave Sarfaraz and Jurel a chance. And it's not as if our over the hill seniors are gonna do anything of note. They never did anything in their prime so what're the odds of them winning anything now?

Both superstars - achieved name and fame which only a select few have got so far. It is really tough to call it quits for these superstars - we heard about kapil, saw sachin drag it and can still see how Dhoni wants to milk it in ipl. If they really do badly they might retire but it is unlikely in Aus on those flat pitches or in Eng without Anderson n Broad. tapandrun 1

I've no problems with that and fans like @putrevus can worship kohli with "King Kohli" posters all they want. They can continue playing till 50 for all I care. I simply want the deserving players in the Indian team who get there base don performance and not on reputation or based on something they did years ago. You'll be surprised to see them struggle. The Aus-Pak pitch seemed spicy enough for the two buddhas and that was for an ODI. In Tests there would be more grass and help available and even them scoring a 20 will be a big achievement. Vk1 1

It would look bad if Sudarshan scores a 100 and India A team thrash the Indian team with the two seniors scoring in single digits. They took the easy way out by changing it to "practice" so the stats don't count and India A team don't have a realistic shot of getting into the Indian team. Sad really Number, Vk1 and Throwaib_Chuckter 3

Unless they score really poorly bcci won't have the guts to drop or force them to retire. Many of us thought they will retire after 2022 t20 wc debacle but they ended up playing 2024 final. Likewise in ODIs after Nov 19th but they are still playing. Tests are far less relevant. Ultimate_Game 1

deepdynamo Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Things are looking very tricky for the first test. As per the queue, Easwaseran will slot straight in as opener but he sucked in the first A game and looks out of sort. Never liked him. Sarfaraz has zero confidence now and his technique won't allow him to do much in Perth. Kela is kela. Chokli is chokli. Jadeja as a No.6 batsman will be useless in Perth. Also thia obsession with going with 4 bowlers + bowling allrounder must end. On spicy tracks, 4 bowlers are sufficient. Aus has been plating with 4 bowlers for decade. My team for the first test: Jaiswal Sai Gill Kohli Pant KL Jurel Washington Rana Akashdeep Bumrah
vayuu1 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Has anybody seen yesterday's pak match at MCG,aus is going for traditional old fashioned aus pitches, yes aus batting is weak, but ours is washed up also barring bumrah who will be ur shami this time, mind u akash deep is new and siraj is woefully out of form, aus has Cummins Hazlewood and starc as well as Boland bc LLG wale hai

Whether RoKo manage to survive and not sink the team remains to be seen. If they continue to dish out Lohlish!t Shawarma, I am taking a sabbatical for a few months. In fact they played with two all-rounders, Marsh and Green, last season We'll have to see if they include another allrounder in their squad this time
