India vs India A cancelled.

The only practice match before the 1st test which was going to be India vs India A has now been cancelled because the captain of the Indian team who very likely won't be available for 1st and maybe even the 2nd test feels match simulation is better than a practice match. 

 

What is even happening with BCCI , players seem to have become bigger than the game and even PCB is looking better than BCCI right now.

That was already decided the moment they lost the 3rd Test. So now it's impossible for A team players to replace the "seniors". Sai Sudarshan can keep on scoring against Aus A but Rohit, Kohli and KL will be the ones in the team despite no performances.

The seniors don't want to play Ranji,Duleep, Irani matches.They don't want to play practice matches.

They can decide which match to play or skip.

And BCCI enables all of it. BCCI decided to cancel the practice match AFTER the 0-3 whitewash at home to kiwis. And they're the ones who threatened Ishan Kishan and Iyer to play domestics. All that noise about Tests being the top format, and players have to play domestic cricket was all hogwash. It was only for the lowly newbies and not for the so called "seniors" who've continued to fail since the last 5+ years without any implication whatsoever.

The senior players have refused to play / been extremely reluctant to play even a single practice match for the last 7 years. 

 

It's like they don't like playing the game anymore and are there only for the glamour, attention and money. 

 

The result has been India losing most 1st tests on away tours. ( as these 1st tests are used as practice games ).

 

This is shocking really !  The superstar captains of the last 15 years have enjoyed too much power and this is detrimental for Indian cricket.

We all know top players will avoid any practice games for every reason because they are morally corrupt, lazy and don't care about anything other than their personal interests.

 

But where is BCCI ?

 

BCCI is hellbent on destroying Indian test cricket. They think they can just thrive on the back of IPL tamasha. 

These jokers running BCCI don't have any long term thinking nor do they care about legacy of Indian cricket.

Players have been bigger than the game in india in the last 10-15 years itself.

 

It was only getting more and more brazen from Tendulkar to dhoni and now Kohli and Rohit.

It got brazen during the Dhoni era when even after 8-0 due to Srinivasan Dhoni continued being the captain. Dhoni was captain PR.

Don't recall Tendulkar and Dhoni cancelling practice and tour matches. Or running away from Test series by coming up with excuses as Kohli & Rohit did in Eng series. That cost us an away Eng series win and the shameless seniors were busy playing IPL the very next week with no fear of Covid then.

Both Tendulkar and dhoni stayed longer in the team irrespective of form. Tendulkar should have quit after the Aussie tour just like VVS and dravid.

 

Dhoni's shenanigans are way too bigger to write in this thread. Seeni maams overruled a selector decision to keep him as a captain.

 

In that case they both were treated bigger than the game.

Dhoni started this whole PR/superstar culture after winning 2011 WC. Virat/Rohit took it to next level.

And he literally averaged 47 in 2011. You don't need to make up LIES just to call out someone.

 

Sachin has one of the LEAST hanging on after losing form from any team . Ponting for example sucked for almost 6 years before retiring. 

 

If you call out Sachin you call out 99% of players in the world. 

 

It completely dilutes any criticism against people like Kohli who have been hanging for 5+ years.
