Finally they come to their senses and call up Anshul Kamboj! He should've always been there instead of that useless POS Prasidh Krishna.

Can't understand why our selectors are so reactive and can't do the right thing early on.

1990s had a decent attack. Srinath, Prasd would have enjoyed in this era.

Not sure about Prasad. People have fond memories of him because of the 96 WC QF, but overall, he was very mediocre in an era where Indian fast bowlers (except Srinath) were below mediocre.

Still, we could certainly use Prasad in 2025.

He's useless too. Dunno what you see in him.

HE is the only leg cutter bowler i know of from India. Also he used to maintain good channel.  In English and similar conditions he is okay. On flat pitches he was not effective.

Legend Mohit Sharma also bowled leg cutters

On seaming conditions,he could use it like no other bowler

He was devastating on those surfaces,he was slower than McGrath but wasn't mediocre like Prasidh,Avesh who have more pace than him

Based on Prasidh's consistent no-shows

Kamboj did well in tour games here, but yet to see how he does in international games

But yes Prasidh is very low bar to cross

I expect him to do well, might have egg on my face but that's only going by the kind of bowler he seems to be and how he did on tour games. He will give some batting depth too.

Anyone is better than Prasidh "can't bat, can't bowl, can't field" Krishna. Even if Kamboj stands on the field and does nothing, it would be an improvement over Prasidh.

Could have called him back even now. There is no continuity with GG

In a 5 test series, when Bumrah has already stated he'll only play 3, you have more fast bowling options in your squad, plain and simple. Still they left Rana out of squad after 1 test, crazy.

Our bodies aren't used to the rigours of 5 test series (unlike Aus, Poms who play Ashes every 2 years) and even otherwise our pacers lack the fitness of the Aussies.

They do Play rigorous Shield and County cricket while growing up and bowl lots of overs.

New crop of Indian Pacers is fed  with T20 stuff.. They would never match elite fitness of Anglo Pacers.

Padosis also similar.

He was like a spin bowler trapped in a fast bowler's action and body. He was tall and looked the part, but lacked pace. Batsmen used to kneel and sweep him, that's how non threatening he was wrt pace and bounce. But he was a brainy bowler and maximized his output with good bowling performances in favourable conditions. His mate Srinath had pace like fire, but lacked the smarts. If only both of them had the good qualities of the other!

Why was Rana jettisoned? He seems like a better option than IPL GT quota Prasidh!
