We won't be hearing about Sanju after the world cup. That's the end of road of him.

Not sure what happens after the wc but if he plays in the wc he needs to sort out the issue.

After wc think Ind needs to look at new set of wc batters for white-ball.

Brook has amazing hand eye coordination, a right handed Abhishek more like.

Look at how both of them charge at the Pacers by making room on leg side but keeping their head position stable.  That's why I want Abhishek to play tests in SENA, he can exactly what Brook has done

Sanju doesn't has that ability and frankly that's a rare ability to have in cricketing world.

Comparing brook and abhishek would not be right, brook has ~45 FC avg and 19 tons. Abhishek does not any kind of record in FC. He is working in t20i let him play there.

And may be after the t20i wc try him as a finisher in Odis but for that he needs to bowl more.

Sanju is moving to leg-side, showing all the stumps and then playing/trying just 1 shot i.e. straight drive is kind of odd technique. If he is making such a room he needs to swing hard and access mid-on to 3rd man.

And as some poster already mentioned he is shifting his weight on back foot and never bringing it back to front foot is also an issue. Think he is concerned about short pitch ball.

Don't think he will start in first XI. Ishan Kishan is preferred choice now.

kishan sr before this series was below 127 if nt wrong, all this hype is created based on 1 series sanju had similar run or better run got 3 tons in no time.

kishan has issues with any kind of bowling that decks away from him. hope he sorted that out.

that is also from his younger days.

players evolve.

rohit's early career sucked.

Rohit's issue was not that he didnt have the shots or lacked off-side/leg-side game.

The issue was he was not able to get the runs in mo and lower mo.

What changed was he started opening, he had the time he needed to build the innings , he could cross/lift the ball over inner circle and get some runs.

Opening in white-balls help specially for player who have bit of power game.

Kishan has issue playing the ball which are leaving him or decking away from him be it spin or pace.

Who ever plays be it ishan/sanju does not matter, what matters they should perform. Team is already decided. whatever issues they have they can find a workaround or may be short-term fix that is okay now

Who are the spinners, other than Bumrah, fast bowlers are also suspect.

Bumrah and mystery spinner can they win matches if batting is subpar.

Varun and Axar. Kuldeep also in certain configs.

This is a strong batting lineup. Should be relied on to get above par.

And Bumrah/Varun are goated.

Yes,I have mentioned it earlier here, his back foot goes so much back in the crease ,front foot press isn't that forward as well, just playing with hands, also is getting late on shots

And I am pretty sure in those 6 losses India had missing personnel or was playing the wrong combo.

To be fair, nobody plays full-strength sides in white ball bilaterals these days. Except Pooks, they even ran Shaheen to the ground few years back by playing him in all matches against Netherlands and Ireland.

True but thing is India's missing personnel are often the best in the world at their positions.

We have never been this strong though.

Everyone goes "GIve the cup already to India" similar vibe to 2023 world cup campaign. We demolished teams 10 matches in a row.

Naah that team was not as good as this one. They were good in the cup but Aus/SA were similarish.

Differences

1. Ind T20 team is defending champion. Ind ODI team wasn't.

2. Ind ODI team had lost series to Aus 1-2 earlier in March. Had lost to SA a year earlier. This T20 team has lost NOTHING since mid 2023 - no series, no tournaments, home or away

Except we don't have dynamic batter kela ragool who dries both runs and fans blood

spitting fire siraj who doesn't take wickets and gives 10,000 runs :thumb:

and even crybaby coaldeep is now superseded by varun, axar and bishnoi

shami is replaced by arshdeep :p:

This is a different team.

This is a different team.

shami was good. siraj/surya were useless.

the ct 25 batting order was better.

ideally the lineup should have been

gill

rohit

kohli

iyer

klr

pandya

axar

jadeja

kuldeep

shami

bumrah

we played that in ct final with varun in place of bumrah (and ofc shami was a bit washed).
