Juniors making way for seniors

There are many instance in the Indian cricket team ,when a young player is replaced even after great perfomance, when the seniors comes back.

 

There are instances when the senior has made himself unavailable, due to personal reason and he just plays at his position when he is available. 

 

This has set a wrong precedent and I think the seniors should replace the others player who has not played well.

 

In this Australia series ,If young players ie Jurel,Sundar,Reddy,Harshit,Paddikal,Eashwaran have a great series, should they be dropped when the seniors return.

 

If Jurel plays very well at no 3 position, as Gill is injured ,will Jurel will be dropped to accommodate Gill when he is fit or he should replace a player who is not doing well ie Virat at no 4.

Jurel was instrumental in winning us the Eng series after Kohli decided to skip it but was dropped once "King" Kohli decided he wanted to play the NZ series. Same thing happened in 2020-21 where youngsters did the hard yards in Aus but seniors were back after the series. Nothing will change now as well else we wouldn't see likes of Rohit and Kohli selected for Aus series after the recent performances against NZ.

King gets a free pass every time, walking back into the X1 at will hasn't played Ranji trophy for close to a decade but Shami is toiling in domestics bowling 40+ overs. Why are bowlers considered inferior? Shami was the star of the world cup and a proven match winner.

There's no accountability for the seniors. They can walk in without doing anything. Kohli comes in from UK straight into the team and that too after failing for more than 5 years. Not even a single domestic match for him.

Was dropped for next series as captain Rohit came back. But played next series v NZ and made low scores.

We had a rule that if a team completed their batting, they had to stay till the other team batted as well. Had a few matches where we had to play the second innings through the rain as folks were more interested in completing their batting than avoiding rain.

Jadeja with a 10fer dropped for a 'junior'. Was worth just for batting depth.

 

If youngster was dropped like this, would have been a riot on ICF

Akash Deep should come in the next Test replacing a batsman. We need more pacers to support Bumrah else we'll bowl him to the ground and at the moment Akash will add more to the team than someone like Kohli.

If we looks the test by inning, Paddikal, Sarfaraz, Eashwaran, Jurel, Harshit, Prasidh, Akashdeep, Sundar should play the 4th test.
