Washington bowled just 4 overs but travis head bowled 5.

And he was one of the the highest wicket takers in NZ series Mr. Fatso:facepalm:

According to Rohit, any Oz cricketer is better than any Ind cricketer, so Head the bowler >> Sundar the bowler

Yea Hitman has no idea about rotating bowlers and managing workload and he has given a fine exhibition of that throught this series. This won't get exposed in India where spinners can bowl long spells.

It was exposed vs NZ as well although his *ing pot belly was more on display & how he couldn't catch them balls, even if it weren't his own :lollypop:

Pant patting him on the back. So he knows how much Bumrah is giving to bring India into the game. Yet he decided to play a shot like that

Probably Pant had too much trust on the lower order.

Since it was last session, he may have thought 7 wkts are enough to last.

Never leave it to others. We have been collapsing since the start of NZ series. Ae even collapsed from 408/3 and lost the match

the diff between first 3 and the no. 4 is that the first 3 were out-and-out wkt takers who did not focus so much on run control. Bumrah offers a mixture of both. He is not as good at bowling tight as McGrath/Ambrose, and is not as good at wicket taking like Steyn. He is something in between

Steyn and Rabada bowled / bowls about 50% of the times in SA, where pitches and conditions provide pace, bounce, seam and swing. There are no other places which do so. I feel Bumrah is actually a better wicket taker than both on flatter tracks.

Waqar would have taken less wickets without bottle caps etc.

And would McG and Amby have been as economical if they had to bowl to T20 hardened batters ?

The only area I feel Bumrah is lacking is the ability to take >= 7 wickets per innings.

I know you pinheads will come to same old BS to downplay Waqar, just jealousy ( only Indians do ) when you will grow up and appreciate a great bowler like a true lover of the game,

Now some people are calling for his head..but will Gavaskar or Sanju Manju open their mouths?

Don't hold your breath as it's not gonna happen. Gavaskar and Manju will lick Rohit and Kohli's balls and make statements like "they're not out of form" or "they're hitting the nets and practicing hard" or "I'm sure they're hurting and will be back to scoring runs soon"

They don't give a shyte Kohli has been useless for the last 5+ years and Rohit has never been a Test opener, especially away from home. They haven't said anything except for bagging youngsters and fringe players. They'll only go against players who don't have any backing and have no integrity or intellectual honesty.

Great bowler without any doubt. But Pakistani pacers of the 80s snd 90s tampered with the ball. Imran himself had confessed to ball tampering and said that he did not consider it cheating.

"  I too tampered with the ball in the sense of lifting the seam and scratching the surface of the ball. But I never considered it cheating because that was accepted as part of cricket. "

There are videos available too.

................

And in the last 15 years, I haven't seen any Indian who is jealous of Pakistanis. Their opinions are generally poor regarding anything Pakistani.

For example, if an Indian were to call you a pinhead, he would mean it as a compliment as his actual opinion would be far far lower.  :phehe:

Indians don't say such things about Akram, infact he is appreciated in India more than Pakistan.
Waqar miya was the first to be fined for ball tempering....it was caught on cameras and ICC fined him.
It's no secret what he must have done when there were no cameras. So does Imran Khan who has confirmed on air in 1994 that he did ball tempering.

He stopped bowling those vicious bouncers and toe crushing yorkers in Tests.
If he do that vs tailenders then his avg will be even lower.

Exactly  !

Even England series in early 2024 was much better in this regard.

Bumrah needs to start bowling quick yorkers and vicious bumpers in tests again.

It's not just a matter of lowering his average but also stopping those long partnerships after a collapse. Tailenders and batters with short ball problems need to be removed with these deliveries. Otherwise he is being weak tactically.

It takes toll of him. YOu need a specialist enforcer. You need a serviceable 4th seamer. We did play like that. Reddy's inclusion and his batting performance has thrown us off. What they should do is try to use him with new ball when they can and see if he gets swing.  His job is just to plug one end. If they want additional seamer just drop spinner and bring additional seamer in.

It's a standard part of a fast bowler's arsenal and Bumrah himself used it a lot earlier.

We cannot wrap him in cotton wool but need to find better support pacers to help him bowl full tilt.
