No they don't, it is nonsense.Pakistan even with their recent shortcomings will always have ability to produce talent.

Afghanistan have long way to catch up.

Classic Kohli fangirls overhyping shitty arsed Paxtan to make their Messiah look better than he is for smashing them.

Afganistan have outperformed Pakistan in the last 3 ICC tournaments. That's a pretty big sample size for anyone with a functioning brain cells to conclude that the so called "tailunt" pakistan produces is pure pig shiz.

Afg does have more heart.

Talent wise as well, Afghanistan have some exceptional players. Its just that they don't have a process setup in place through which they can churn the players (and they lack exposure as well).

Pakistan on the other hand, despite being 4th richest cricket board, hasn't been able to elevate their playing capabilities.

What you are saying, that they don’t have a system in place, doesn’t agree with the results. They won the emerging cup, surely there was a system to get there young guns in order, ready for the senior team. Darwish Rasooli, Allah Ghazanfar, fast bowler Rahmani, they have good talent and all of them play the Shpageeza League and Afghanistan A matches. Please have a look, it is very interesting.

Tbh...the entire cricketing world can be divided into 2 tiers

Tier 1

Australia

India

New Zealand

South Africa

England

Tier 2

Afghanistan

Pakistan

Sri Lanka

West Indies

Bangladesh

Tier 3

Nepal

HongKong

Oman

Ireland

Scotland

Netherland

I propose that tournaments like World Cup should actually be played only with

Tier1 teams + top 2 teams of Tier 2 + Top team of Tier 3

Tournaments like Champions Trophy should be reserved only for Tier 2 & 3 teams plus the bottom placed Tier 1 team.

This will keep games competitive and reduce the one sided matches.

Hilarious that Kohli fanboys are now busy propping up a pathetic Pak team just to prop up their "King"

Let's compare the two teams...

Top Order: Both Gurbaz and Zadran are light years ahead of Pak counterparts.

Middle order: I doubt anyone would take Pak slowpokes like Rizwan and co. over Atal, Rahmat Shah and Shahidi

All-rounders: This comparison is not even in the same ball park. Likes of Omarzai, Nabi and Naib are way ahead of bits and pieces players masquerading as all-rounders for Pak

Spinners: Another area where Afg are leaps and bounds better. Rashid, Noor, Nabi are better than Pak spinners and Mujib can't even get in!

Wkt keeper: Will take Gurbaz over drama queen Rizwan any day

Pace bowling: This is the closest comparison and even then Fazalhaq Farooqi, Omarzai, Naveen ul-Haq have performed way better than overhyped so called "best bowling attack"

And Afg has performed way better over the last 3 ICC tourneys winning 10 matches compared to just 6 by Pak. Let that sink in. Not just 3 games but 3 ICC tourneys! By any metric - objective or subjective - Afg is a better team with more talent.

There's a reason Pak was last in WTC table, has crashed out of the last 4 ICC tourneys in group stages losing to associate nations multiple times and haven't made it to ODI WC since 2011! But if you listen to Kohli fanboys, they make it sound like Pak is the second coming of Aus.

That braindead moron @putrevus has already said that based on his 100 against this Pak team he should play the 2027 ODI WC :hysterical:

I looked on internet, it seems they have indeed started a domestic setup tournament from 2017 onwards, and a T20 tournament from last year. So, my information, was indeed outdated.

Generally, given their country is in such turmoil, you dont expect the cricketing setup will be in focus, but credit to ACB to not letting those hiccups hamper their player development.

Pakistan has system in place which has produced exeptional talent in past and will do in future too.Imran Khan is an idiot he shrunk their FC system to six sides mimicking Australia forgetting the difference in population.

If money could buy trophies then BCCI would be winning every cup.

Aghanistan is doing well with limited resources. They still are long way to go before they reach Pakistan level.

As for heart thing, India did not reach knockouts in 2004. 2006 as host, 2009 champions trophies not to forget debacle of 2007 world cup. Does that mean guys like Sachin, Sehwag, Ganguly ,Dravid and Dhoni did not have heart.

That is why I was laughing when Gambhir was giving out jingostic statements when he was working in media forgetting all the stinkers he was part off.

Other than Australian teams not many teams are equipped to handle adversity. I don't know how they keep bouncing back. You can never count them out.

I still think we are not as bad as how we performed.

Saim and FZ both were out. So basically 2/6 of our batters were gone - add to that, saim was more than handy with ball in hand.

Every team has such issues. India is without Bumrah, Aussies without their pace trio, even Afg are without Mujeeb and Ghazanfar.

India is without Bumrah and a barely half fit Shami. Aussies have their first choice pace attack missing. I'm sure every team can come up with a list of players they would like to have. Butt to implode the way they've done I doubt a player or two would've made a difference.

And even if you excuse this tourney, which shouldn't be the case IMO, what about the previous tournies such as 2024 WT20, 2023 ODI WC, 2023 Asia Cup etc.

Bumrah is just one guy - and indian batting is strong enough to make up for it.

For us, these two were x-factor players in a one dimensional batting line up. Qualitative impact of this cannot ne compared to miss-outs you've mentioned above

Bumrah is not just some "one guy". He's the best bowler in the world and his 10 overs are like gold dust. Opponents are forced to target the other 40 coz they know Bumrah'll be a huge challenge. Plus he can turn the game anytime. I'm sorry Bumrah's the biggest miss in the tourney. Bumrah not only lowers the opponents RR but he also increases the chances of other bowlers to take wkts as batters are forced to target them. With Bumrah in the side, this team becomes an automatic favorites. Imagine a half fit Shami replaced by Bumrah.

thought fakhar was dropped and only included bcoz saim was out due to injury.

saim hardly played 10 odis and he is expected to the heavy lifting(in icc event) in place of babar and riwan, couple of months back he was not in the plan.

same kind of arguments are made about jaiswal , he just played 1 odi.

The Afghans are intelligent with picking their batting coaches for every tournament. For the world Cup in India, they chose Ajay Jadeja as their batting coach, for the T20 world Cup In West Indies they chose Dwayne Bravo, for the ongoing Champions trophy they chose Younis Khan.

And to add to it NZ were without Rachin against Pak and Rachin >>> Saim.

And against India, Pak got all the breaks. They won a great toss, Shami got injured and gave freebie wides. You can't expect such good fortune and still they were hammered. You can't cry about your bad luck and ignore everything that went in your favor or against your opponent. Just imagine Shami on point and Bumrah around. We would've annihilated them.

They're so poor that even after catching breaks and luck going their way they still get absolutely crushed. No amount of "this player was missing" can save them. They are simply poor and should be ranked 7th or 8th. Honestly at the moment SL team under Jayasuriya is better than Pak. We would've struggled against SL at Dubai.
