Afghanistan has more heart and talent than Pakistan

All that jazba, junoon, cornered tiger stuff Pak fans and ex-players talk about, applies more to Afghanistan. The heart and fight which Afghanistan shows, Pak has never really shown.

 

And the results are there for all to see. This is the 3rd straight ICC tourney Afghanistan has outperformed Pak - 2023 WC, 2024 WT20, and now 2025 CT. That's not a one-off, that's a consistent trend. Clearly Afghanistan is the 2nd best cricket team in Asia

Man, considering how good the Asian teams are becoming the Asia cup might now see only one Pak-Ind game each time iykwim.

 

These losers always club Bang, Afg, SL together cause they are scared of Pak losing though.

Afg problem is they have only 2 batsmen in Gurbaz and Zadran. Today one of the two came thru big and so they won. Rarely does anyone else bat, besides these two for Afg, in a winning cause.

Their team beat us in the Emerging cup didn't they( I didn't follow that game)? So they have proper talent coming through in next gen as well. 

 

They beat us in Football too even though they bring these random journeymen a week before matches. They are a tagdi quam

ya they had Ghazanfar,sediqullah Atal..and Karim Zanat..who are known players.. Ghanzafar is a very good mystery bowler..and more preferred than Mujeeb..nowadays

Atal who go runs against Ind, good LH batter but having issue with the pace, thought Ind bowler were missing the pace to trouble him. He is similar padikal

I think they have more good batters.

Don't remember the name but in 2023 WC, one of them scored a century vs Pakistan.

It was the same guy (Zadran) who scored that 100. His 2nd ICC 100 - more than Babar

No they should fix England and Afghanistan in the same group everytime. That is the new rivalry after all the virtue signalling and threating to boycott Afghanistan from ECB and all the English commentators.

yes they were looking toothless in flatter conditions

What a team! They have been a dangerous side for a few years with a very good spin bowling unit but a week batting line-up. Not anymore! Their batsmen have been scoring stunning centuries rather frequently and the team now has self belief to take on any side.

The Pakistani team OTOH has low self esteem and bats in timid,outdated style which used to work back when the ball used to do quite a bit and wicket preservation was important. Their much touted pace bowlers are gut-less show ponies, sustaining hostility for barely 2-3 overs.

by the end of the tournament, it won't be just more hearts, but also courage, talent and will end in ranking higher than Pak in this tournament.

Learn BD, learn. This is how you win hearts. At one point, you guys were winning hearts too from everyone but then gradually F'd it up. AFG plays agressive cricket too ... but still wins hearts cause the respect is there from fans/players.

B'desh should seriously take a hard look at themselves. They were backed by BCCI, got the Test status handed over to them on silver platter and despite all that backing they've done zilch. Their sole notable achievement has been the 2007 ODI WC win against India.

 

OTOH Afg has come through Division 5 since that time and is a pretty good white-ball team. BCCI and ICC should've backed Ireland and Afg instead of B'desh all this while.
