Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus are the most kattar Hindus you will find in South Asia, when Lankan Islamist groups acted up read what LTTE did to them. Don't confuse them with betiyar gang. Also pro-India group, India blundered by going against them in 80s.

@mishraji, Sinhalese extremist groups (many Buddhist monks too back them like Bodu Bala Sena) are cleansing the island of Hindu influence. Many ancient temples, Hindu customs/rituals/religions are being targetted by them. 1000+ year old temples are being replaced by Buddhist shrines. Heck even in Myanmar, Hindus are treated as bad as Rohingyas. In Bhutan they wiped out 25% of their population, Hindus of Nepali origin.
