Will terrorists involved in Pahalgam attack be apprehended?

It's the balance between security and liberty. Everyone should have the right to use private services for whatever they want without fear of being watched by the government. However ...

After 2020 the local support in Kashmir valley has plunged. In fact this year there were 0 recruitment of locals in terrorist org. The intelligence network in valley is robust so they cannot operate there freely.

 

So Pakistan quickly shifted to infiltrating some of their ex-SSG commando operatives trained specifically in mountain and jungle warfare in the Jammu region. The terrain in this region is dangerously difficult with all jungles and mountains for 100s of sq kilometers and suitable for guerrilla attacks. This is the reason our forces are getting casualties in last few years in Jammu's districts.

 

I believe these were ex-SSG operatives who executed this operation. They can cover 20 kms a day through jungles. They communicate through chinese sattelites so it is impossible to track them. Their engagement with locals is extremely extremely minimal. So I think we have caught sleeping here and we will never see them.

 

Only hope is that NIA solved full Pulwama case in 8 months or so. (Read Pandita's "Lover boy of Bahwalpur"). The main planner of that was killed before the case was solved in an encounter.

Operation sindoor was sucess to some extent but ceasefire agreements have been full of blunders. 

 

They should not have agreed to ceasefire till each and every terrorist involved had been handed over by Pakistan.

 

Do we know who all were behind the attack including local people.

It would have been ideal if the same  6 or whatever number of terrorists were caught. However, had they been caught the chances of destroying 9 terror camps and 100's of terrorists would not have happened. The other damage that was inflicted has been overwhelming.OGW and sleeper cell terror network busted across state. Terrorits houses demolished. Missiles getting tested in real war scenario, the dowing of two JF17 , the inpact of the action on Pakistan economy and many other points mentioned by other posters has been way more in India's favor. A new normal policy decided is a remarkabke deterence. The cases regarding this attack will always be open until those remaining are captured which will help India point out in international diplomatic meetings and forums.
