Team India have dropped nine catches so far in this T20 World Cup, the second most after Ireland!

Ireland: 10 drops

India: 9 drops

Namibia: 6 drops

This is not isolated. Did the same in Asia cup. Not sure these guys get any kind of high catch drills, sharp chance drills.

Must be the biggest freeloader in Indian setup. Tournament after tournament we are the worst catching/fielding side. Can't manage one direct hit, even our ladies are proficient at those, look at tigresses like Amanjot, Jemimah, Kaur.  Most of our youngsters are all net negative in the field, even supposedly athletic ones like Tilak, Abhi. Chakri, Washi, Dube jaison ki baat hi choro...KD is in a league of his own who converts regulation catches to 6s.

Kis baat ka job rakha hai yeh banda?

SKY, Hardik, Rinku, Axar atm have to cover for everyone else.

Abhi aur Chakri ke beech full stop hai.

Varun C never grew up as a full fledged cricketer. That is somewhat explainable. But Sundar being reluctant to run full tilt is shocking. I know tall guys are sluggish.  But not this sluggish.   If we strictly talk about athleticism  Hardik,  Rinku are the best. Tilak can run fast. But has to work on his technique. Sai Sudarshan, Iyer both are good as well. Very rapid across the field.

Sai Sudarshan is a sloth lol, terrible terrible fielder. How can you put him in the same category as Shreyas? I don't even understand what he does on a cricket field, garbage batsman, garbage fielder, garbage attitude.

The biggest beneficiary of IPL showing is this guy. From nowwhere he came to reckoning by playing on flat Ahmedabad pitches in IPL matches. With domestic average of less than 40 he got to play 4 tests that too in England.

We had removed him but Hitman suggested keeping him for the sake of continuity and stability lest there be too many changes. Until recently believe it or not we hardly dropped catches in t20s, it began with the Asia cup. Guys like Parag, Reddy and Ramandeep helped

Eyesore of a cricketer. People like him devalue the India cap.

Fielding is poor although he saved a crucial 4 on day 5 of oval test.  But he runs quick across the turf.

What is worrisome is that our youngsters are poor fielders and catchers. Abhishek is useless in the field, Sundar misfields a lot and is slow and Tilak drops nearly every catch that comes his way. He has single-handedly dropped 4 catches this tourney. Then we have bowlers who have to be hidden in the field. Kuldeep can't catch or field, Bumrah is slow and has to be protected from injury, Arshdeep isn't too flash either. Pandya is injury waiting to happen though he's a good fielder. Take out Rinku Singh and it looks like a club team in the field.

Ind is not just slow fielding side, but in last 16-18 month they are the worse catching side too.

There is no confidence if the ball goes in the air that Ind fielders be able to catch anything, forget about creating a magic moment on the field.

The only time I feel safe is when I see Rinku hovering around under the ball.

And we used to think Shastri and his drinking buddies were poor coaches. Gambhir plus his flunkies have sunk lower.

Standards across catching, fielding, running and physical conditioning are pitiful. Zero athletes in the team but lots of fatties and snails instead.

Zimbabwe, despite having several older players, are levels above when it comes to fielding and fitness standards.
