Just that the timing of it is so bad optically. 3 months  since Pahalgam Op Sindoor , India was well within its rights to drop it as hosts. Many Asia cups have been abandoned earlier. There was nothing to gain from this for BCCI. They could have hid behind GoI and quit. If not pressure from broadcasters (money), more like GoI is obliging to its relationship with UAE. If someone wants to watch , it’s their prerogative, at least on SM there is a lot gaalis given to the government

Some of my relatives, friends who are blind BJP supporters (so extreme that they call me all sorts of names when I point out mistakes by their favorite party) can't contain their anger about this. Whether it be in whatsapp groups or when we meet in person, Sindoor is often brought up and hatred towards Pakistan has never been higher. I can't understand how govt is not seeing the signs, India has never been more united against Pak backed terror. Enough is enough, Pahalgam was the final red line. Many of my close relatives went for tourism to Kashmir around that time, so it feels personal. Look at the voices on SM including Hindutva handles, everybody is pissed off.

Here is an easy way to corner the govt, but no they will latch on to some far-fetched issue which is difficult to prove and which doesn't resonate with the public. There should be calls for Bharat bandh over this, pressurize the govt into cancelling all sorts of exchanges with Pakistan. 

 

Priyanka Chaturvedi (SS), Owaisi raised this issue in Parliament, but where was the main opposition party?

 

Otherwise what will happen is govt will be emboldened to normalize relations, and do more self-harming stuff....if you can't give up cricket, how the hell will you deny them Indus, Jhelum, Chenab water?

Biggest problem is unexposed Indian people getting exposed in the west either through immigration or social media. That combined with latent racism in the west probagates lots of typecasts.

If opposition was any decent BJP would not have got more than 120 seats in 2024 GE.

chinese tourists had poor reputation in the 2000s and 2010s cause villagers had become rich and they caused havoc during tourism. the govt had to resort to train them. have become better behaved now.

 

indian stuff will continue for around 15-20 years i'd say before most indians become accustomized to international cultural norms.

But Congress (Pappu Sena) would have done even worse, they would have invited Pakistan on red carpet had they been in power.

They couldn't even raise finger against Pakistan when the Mumbai attack happened. They were hell bent on battling with RSS instead of targeting the real culprits. Such a shameful incompetents they're.

Is congress in charge currently? As I said, this is Trump supporters level tactics, whenever someone questions the goverment they keep crying about the opponents who are not in charge.

 

What cult followers don't realize is that normal citizens are not brain washed cult followers always attached to one party and blindly worshiping their party over the country.

 

Normal citizens will question whoever is in charge, congress or BJP. Difficult concept for cult members to understand.
