Pathetic classist stuff from GG. Even if groundsman was wrong, that is not a way to handle it. 

 

I wonder how he worked as MP or in dressing room now where people are 'just analyst', 'just masseur' etc

Most guys are going to be like this guy lol Gauti is a little hot tempered. We know that.  My worry is how does he behave with players? I listened to one of his talks in LSG dressing room. Not really pleasant.

What if analyst or masseuse said something criticizing GG's coaching of batting technique?

This. It is highly problematic if he treats his players like this and does not allow them to express themselves.

The stupid part of this is that loudly losing his cool at the groundsperson has absolutely no upside at all. He is the one person who can do something to impact the behaviour of the pitch in the next two days and the odds of him favouring the home team even more just increased.

Getting into a slanging match with him just shows an emotion driven personality that doesn't think ahead. 

This may work for media clicks and jingoistic headlines but is a losing strategy as far the primary task goes - winning  the match starting on Thursday.

Exactly, can't be a peaceful dressing room. Even young batsman will be scared to take his inputs.

Not everyone in the world is privileged to have a high paying occupation, luck also plays a part in life.

In addition large % of GG’s countrymen live in poverty. Comment sounds bad on so many levels.

Yes he did say this. It was clearly audible and is getting played on some TV channels here. Stuff like this, whatever the context, shows a guy who is wound up so tightly that he can explode at the smallest thing and some unsavoury things come out when the red mist descends.

I wouldn't really care if this helped him deliver a solid coaching performance. Unfortunately getting into these fake fights seems to be his primary pre-occupation. If it is not getting defensive and prickly in press conferences then it is a spat with the groundsman.

Gill handles the press better than him.  He gave explanation about 90 second delay by English batsman.

Yes Gill is a young guy but getting more confident in himself. He still has to learn the art of managing bowlers and resources in the field but with Pant alongside, they can make a good leadership team of confident, young and skilled players with self belief and a desire to win.

Importantly he is calm and can defuse situations when needed rather than inflaming them publicly totally unnecessarily.

Apparantly just 15 minutes before Baz was allowed to inspect pitch and he was standing on the pitch. This Fatty started asking to maintain distance as soon as Indian staff started going near to the pitch. If true, then dickhead deserved the moutful from GG.

Yes he said there are pictures of Baz and Rob key inspecting and standing on pitch. GG has anger issues but he won't pick fight with groundsman without a reason. Asking them not to take ice bag with them is ridiculous.
