vvvslaxman Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Wish he had played in NZ series instead of Kohli. We probably would have won atleast one test. But given his age he should realize rope is going to be shorter in comparison with youngsters. If Sai were 33 year old he would have been dropped as well. Ultimate_Game and tapandrun 2

But thats where Ind players are not honest to even themselves, they keep playing way past their prime. In Karun's case he should have know that this was his last chance, if he does well he gets to play more and will be dropped if he does not. The rope will always be a shorter one for him. And it was not like bad batting conditions, those were flat pitches where every1 got runs, he was given a favourable spot too. There are multiple players eying for a spot in Ind team. Ultimate_Game Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 (edited) I'm sorry but Karun Nair only has himself to blame. He got 5 Tests, not 2 or 3 Tests. Plus the batting conditions were great with barely any tricky pitch or bad conditions. On top of that he played at his favorite spot. When likes of Jadeja and Sundar are out-batting you, it means you failed. He had so many chances and could barely score one 50. That's pathetic for a specialist top order batter. You were completely out of your depth. Agarkar's biggest mistake was bringing back a 34 year old like you in the first place. Lord and Ultimate_Game 1 1
The Realist Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Karun Flair needs a last hurrah @maniac Kohli got 5 years of failing. Ditto Pujara and Rahane. Justice for Karun. Manucrick, nevada, Forever Indian and 2 others 5
ShoonyaSifar Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 What is with all these players and their sense of entitlement and saying things publicly. Shami , despite being out of shape, feels he should be in National team, Rahane feels he should have played BGT, now Karun, despite being a flop on England tour, wants more chances. Karun should be grateful for the chance he got, not one but 4 tests. And then to come out and say I deserved more. Sorry, you burnt your chances and the clock restarts from this Ranji season. What you did two seasons doesn't count for much any longer. Manucrick 1
NameGoesHere Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 No, Nair, had his chance. But I don’t blame Nair in the slightest for wanting more. It’s natural for anyone to think they deserve one more opportunity, from UPSC aspirants to Test players it’s all the same. But one can absolutely judge and say Nair had his turn. Thing is - he didn’t use it to establish himself. How many cricketers in India didn’t even get that one chance? Nair got 5 Tests to make his case. There are worse tragedies, more people have been treated even more unfairly in cricket and life. Ultimate_Game and Manucrick 2
Manucrick Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Karun had his chance but he failed Ultimate_Game 1
The Hound Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 atleast he can retire as a first class legend.
tweaker Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Karun Nair is again scoring in Ranji season. He should have been in the A team against South Africa
