bsriharsha Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Only way forward for India is to stop participating in any event when Pakistan team is participating. Get ready to eat the financial loss if need be. Once the rest of countries see the loss of revenue, tab apne aap line pe aa jayenge.

ungboysj Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 (edited) This match was a total farce and should never had happened But modi shah as always to salvage their position after anger from public, used Surya to make a speech in match presentation which is not really very mature even though they may be right Unfortunately surya comes across a immature and unpolished person Kohli and Rohit won't have made this speech Thing is he should not have made that speech in match presentation because it sets a wrong precedence What if tomorrow pakistan player start making speech about kashmir , rafale down in match presentation and other muslim players about Palestine etc Let's not encourage politicisation of sports Edited September 16, 2025 by ungboysj
Sean Bradley Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 First they surrendered on the field now they will boycott off the field. I was looking forward to at least one more epic humiliation. EnterTheVoid 1

For me the true humiliation is to use our financial muscle to have other teams boycott them. Make it a you are either with us or with them for other teams. That is true power. Wish bcci has balls to do it. raki05, Ultimate_Game, Master_better and 1 other 1 3

Have you ever seen a team boycotting their own hosted tournament? Though the ideal scenario would have been hosting it in India and kicking out Pakistan. Countries have 100% cancelled series at their home when it was against those they wanted to boycott or banned those countries from participating. Has happened many times But that's countries with self respect, not with citizens who make everything a joke while pretending to be patriotic. coffee_rules 1

They are ready to lose 100 more matches as long as they earn millions and use the same money to kill Indians. But glad that for some Indians those wins on the field are more important than the money being used to take indian lives. Wonder how many lives are worth these cricket humiliation.
Ultimate_Game Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 I'm ok with not shaking hands part but yeah SKY shouldn't have made that statement at the end. He has unnecessarily put pressure on himself and the team. Best would've been not to shake hands, stay quiet, and dedicate the tournament win (if we win it) to Pahalgam victims. singhvivek141 and Tillu 2

But it's more of counting eggs before hen lays. Now we are anyway playing, lets wait till we win it actually. He should have simply said, we were asked to play, which we did. We didn't do handshake because we didnt feel doing the same. It seems BCCI/GOI is using players to curb down the negative sentiments. Which for me it falls flat.
New guy Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 What a brave brave gesture. Must have taken so much more courage than what our soldiers showed risking their lives. This gesture will live in Indian history forever as courage of the players, board and government.

Tillu Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 (edited) PCB like the BCCI had found a convenient excuse to hide the ****-tier performance from their players. BCCI and PCB are made for each other. They know how make a bakra out of the fans. Edited September 16, 2025 by Tillu

I think need to go back to school and revise your English, I mentioned that if India boycotts ‘a tournament’ it is big news, Pakistan doing it is not so much. I never mentioned anything about India boycotting this specific Asia Cup.

Zero_Unit Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 (edited) As per ICC, they said no, eff off. So UAE is going through now I guess? Will pak keep their words this time around? Edited September 16, 2025 by Zero_Unit
Lone Wolf Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 I don't see another India Pak game happening...easier way out would be UAE beating Pakistan. And everyone goes home with their sanity intact. GoI and BCCI won't be able to face the brunt second time around. Or will PCB agree to take the humiliation in advance that Indians won't shake hands from the outset. Jihadi awaam might also lose their sh*t at Agha and Mohsin Naqvi then.
