He should just keep bowling cutters into the pitch. Especially at the death.

AFAIK, hardly anybody is putting up any analysis based on tracking or even line and length data - Cricviz, Cricket.com, Kimber or even the usual guys on X.

Where is this coming from? Dube was part of the India's successful T20 campaign and the did not cost us anything in a major tournament, why will he do it now suddenly? He is a decent batter for T20Is, he hits big against spinners and on sluggish or seaming wickets, he can give you couple of overs. He is not a hack, he averages 44 in FC. He is least of our problems and he is not a worst T20 selection we have had.

On these kind of sluggish tracks  which is closer to CHennai pitches he does well. He gave belt treatment to every bowler. Pace/spin. Hope he plays one of those innings.

he has 4 fifties in t20is 2 of them were when team was in bad situation Afgn think it was 4 wkts down and vs Eng it was 3-4 kts down.

 

Not big but he played critical knock of 27 of 17 balls in the T20i wc finals.

 

He does not give vibes that he is brainy but have not seen him misread the situation while batting in t20is, he does not think only brute force is a way out he uses brains.

And uses brute force when needed.

 

Ind tm sees him as a brute force solution when needed. 

 

There are 3 ways to get him out a fast rising bouncer which gets him by surprise where he can not use his height, try to york him or try angled ball going away from him.

And all 3 are not easy and would get any top batter out with those kind of balls.

 

He is not a elite batter, but a factor for which opposition has to plan which means sacrificing some of the resources.

He is not an elite t20i batter, but he offers brute force which no other Ind batter offers. 

He has not shown the hitting ability that he showed in IPls for CSK , but again most of his entry points are not where he can go from ball 1.

 

Today as well he made opp. to make a mistake in their decision making to bring back rauf when spinners were bowling. It was because they do not wanted to give 1 extra over to spinner when it was make or break kind of situation for them, these are the small thing that changes the match.

 

Its to be seen what he does against better bowling line up, though pak bowling is good especially v Ind every1 puts a lot of extra effort, Shaheen was hitting 140s kmph regularly and hit 145 kmph as well do not think he bowls this fast against anyother team.

Clutch performance. Didn't rate him before this match but he won me over. That Six off Rauf 17.6 turned the game in our favour.

Dube is the exact opposite of choker SKY.    SKY is a proven disaster in every KO game.  Dube, a proven match winner in those games.  Smashed at near 200% SR in WT20 2024 final and then again last night.

Dube should spend time with Yuvraj singh. This guy can become Tim David level. Same build.  I think he has potential to maximize his game.

We gotta back players like Iyer, Dube, Rinku, Jaiswal etc. who can handle pressure instead of useless mental midget SKY
