My relatives in England say Kanglus are the bigger culprits when it comes to appropriating the tag of Indian restaurants. And worse still, their cuisine sucks ass, aur faltu mein ham log badnaam ho jaate hai.

Well that may be true but its our own people who looked down on the job of owning a restaurant and instead chasing degrees and jobs which meant the void of 'curry' was filled by the next biggest group of SC people who used Indian cuisine to make money for years and gave the whites a wrong impression of what indian food actually is.

Indians wanted to be work as doctors or engineers in UK and not a 'lowly' restaurant owner- jokes on them, people in businesses here earn way more money than educated plebs.

I've never seen an Indian pretending to be a Pa ki or Bangladeshi.

Pa kis and Bangaldeshi's pretend to be Indians all the time. In Europe and other places.

So  what are you saying? Just because Indians don't want to be entrepreneurs they can't expect quality and professionalism from a business? How does what Indians choose to do related how they are treated?

Not only that - the restaurant business, regardless of cuisine, is the toughest business out there. I don't blame anyone who wants to get out of it.

No my point is if you have to end up going to Pa*i restaurants because you have no choice and the chances is how they look at us and episodes like above can occur; my point was how we have got to this point. When Indians are the largest minority in the UK but our own people have generally looked down upon this business historically which meant our cuisine has been taken over by padosis and we dont have any other choice if we want to eat indian food from out.

The more polarised society gets in India, there are repercussions on Indians in the UK esp when food is controlled by muslim businesses- to prevent sabotage and own ill health, we need to reclaim our cuisine and create non halal businesses which are safe. The spit jihad etc will come to the west as well

This is kind of true all over. Indians want to be like whites going into white collar jobs and businesses, while blue collar jobs are being grabbed by others. Even in India, all the jobs that require hands and traveling is done by Muslims. If you pick any business that does cleaning work, AC repair , bet the specialist they pick will be a Muslim sounding name, not that I am complaining or being racist, then again Hindus can't go around crying that all such jobs are taken over by Muslims, tht is because Hindus are not doing such jobs. The diyas for Hindu festivals are done by most Muslim owning businesses. If we are not doing such work, then we are dependent on whatever quality work they do, Just don't cry about spit jihad.

The incident is between two Pak groups.

There were no Indian/Hindu family in this incident.

Which Hindu family will purposefully go to "Abaseen Diner" named restaurant.

Eaxtly, There are many signs to verify if the restaurant is owned by a Pakistani. I avoid any Urdu sounding names, that has green signs in Urdu/Arabic . If there is beef in the memu (in an Indian cuisine restaurant) , it is a big red flag  as you can eat it accidently too. Most Indian places owned by Indians (even Muslims) usually  don't  serve beef.

It's more than just restaurants.

Indians have a lot of good will and generally assimilate well into any society without any problems.

Pa kis take advantage of this good will and pretend to be Indians. Their own reputation in Europe is terrible (grooming gangs) and their reputation as a country is even worse (state sponsored terrorism/Bin Laden's hiding place etc).

Even better. Maaro

But the problem remains. Kanglus and Paurkies run Indian resturants and potray themselves as Indians too for business

As an Indian Hindu, I have eaten at plenty of Pakistani owned restaurants around Europe. Never had any issues. Most of the time I only realized it was Pakistani owned at a later time.

Yeah, its difficult. Bangladeshi its still easier due to their thick Bengali accent, but it's tough to differentiate Paks due to Punjabi connection.

I usually look for South Indian restaurants overseas, or else veg only restaurants. Popular non veg restaurants will have the reviews where someone may have mentioned the ethnicity. You guys should also do the same to help fellow Indians.

The websites also generally have the owners name. That can help figure out too
