This guy has the same disease of looking to hit cute shots behind square too often and doing it even more under pressure like Sky and Dk. Had he hit that super over ball straight it might even have gone for 6.

Ind does not have wk suited for t20i batting. No one has the game. No one walks in the playing 11 on their batting own.

Sanju has not done much  in mo either. 

 

Its a simple template in t20 format, if wk does not make into batting line-up on their batting alone they need to open the innings and maximize pp and take risks if needed to do so.

 

Ind inserted Gill who is not suited to t20i cricket now that balance is gone.You can pick any wk aviable to Ind right now you will find the same issue.

 

If this sort of change to the format was done to bring in some1 like vaibhav it would have made sense, but gill now they are making a team where 2 players are not suited for the format::: GIll + Any wk currently in Ind.

Yes, wk has play in top 3, but issue with sanju (who seems to be the best option rt. now for T20is) is he also mis-hits/mis-times and pp gives him that cushion where mis-hit lands outside inner circle during pp.

 

The reason why he is not good in mo is that he has tendency to mis-hit v.often and that too when the situtation is not that good.

Today is the first time I have seen a complete innings of his where he has batted for more than 20+ balls.. he looked very ordinary

each position in t20 is critical.. imagine having two players who are likely candidates to being retired out on most occasions

SKY should not be put in same sentence as DK or worse Jitesh

Even with Samson not firing , Jitesh convincingly proved he is a muppet when he came to bat in super over instead of Sooryavanshi and as an icing on the cake got cleaned up the most ugly way possible in the first ball.

We don’t. In Odis keeper can play in middle order 4-5-6. As much as I dislike Rahul, in no universe is Jitesh a better batsman than Rahul and that includes even 6 hitting.  
 

in t20s keeper has to bat top 3 for flexibility.

 

in ODIs top 6 and has to be proper multi dimensional bat who can play stabilizing knock or slog.

 

in tests even though the days of specialist keepers are gone, I am ok with top 7 batter for a keeper.
