Are these players picked by their respective boards or are they random mercenaries who are invited to the tournament.

 

What incentive does the BCCI have to pick these players for this tournament.

For a team who cannot hit sixes in mainstream matches even if their life depended on it are making merry here.

 

 

I dint care about them beating this fraud Pak team. They have sent players who cant hit sixes in a fuking SIXES tournament. DK is the biggest fraud ever.

Thats what I want to know. Uthappa is super vehla doing very well with his life. Has a huge fuking mansion in Dubai. DK is a freeloader as well. Who the fukk is this Chipli ? Mithun..really ?

Are bhai, let us focus on Ind A, U-19, Rising Asia Cup, Ranji. In fact shouldn't even send teams to these garbage tourneys.

Yeah they should do that but if you are sending a side act like professionals at least.

 

I hope they are serious for Asian Games as well.  That would be clashing with two Indian series next year.

Yes, we will take Asian Games seriously. In fact govt is putting pressure on HI to send a weakened team to FIH WC and the best one to Asian Games, those events are less than a month apart.

Just checked Hongkong sixes 2024 on wiki and the same Uthapas, Chiplis, Binny, Mithun were also there and lost all 5 matches.

 

Come 2025, the same guys been picked again along with DK and losing vs Kuwait, UAE & Nepal.

Don't think BCCI picked the team anyways for such tamasha cup. Maybe some private entity.

This is not a serious tournament , check other teams too, not many known names. Its recognized by ICC though

Not sure why is this getting so much hype after it restarted couple of years back. Yes big names have played this in the past. But it was when t20 leagues were not there and it was a good avenue to make quick bucks by the players.

 

Its an invitation based and kind of freelance kind of thing. They send invitations and players have to get noc. not sure if noc is needed for retired players.

Some teams are wearing board logo but not all. So something is there.

 

Aus team is comprised of players who are no longer considered. SA team's players does not even have a proper cricinfo profile. think captains has 5 fc matches.

 

Ind player are not wearing any bcci logo, so team is not going under bcci , SA team is also not using the CSA logo.

 

Similar to the Indian team, the England, Australian and South African teams for the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 are not composed of their full-strength national squads and are not directly managed by their official cricket boards

Pakistan team for the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 was officially announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and the team is representing the country with the board's official logo

BCCI is not keen on this tournament as it's commercially not viable. How many ads can you show in a six over match?

 

This tournament was supposed to be relevant in the 90s and early 2000s when hitting 6s was not so common.

 

Now with the advent of T20s this tournament is still struggling for relevance when played on lolworthy pocket sized grounds.

Kuwait to meet Pakiies in the finals. They might win the tournament.
