My fav program since last 3 months, watch it daily. Fack this 30% impasse is impossible to defeat , any party needs 100% of Hindu vote to defeat this juggernaut

Absolutely. I started watching it during Delhi election and even then they kept talking about how Delhi is changing and AAP will lose big given the auto driver etc etc.

I'm sort of on a ledge here. Don't want any bjp gains but then it's Bengal. I'll choose the better of the two evils now. Really do think Bengal needs to break free of the tmc goons.

There is no tmc goons..there is unemployment and unemployed youth joins the party in power. They were left goo a who jumped ship to tmc and will now jump ship to BJP. Nothing will change. If BJP tries to bring in industry .they will have to take farmers land and that would allow mamata to do what she did in 2011.

Watched a Hindi news channel the other day, the reporter was asking people questions in Hindi to Bengali people and they were fine understanding/speaking Hindi...

So what exactly is the problem?

Problem is if I go to UP and speak in Kannada ..are the locals expected to respond in Kannada. If I change road signs to Kannada along with Hindi and English are you ok. If I make Kannada a third language are you ok. Why is Sanskrit a dead language now. Same is true for Hindi. Why should it be imposed in other states. It's ok if someone speaks in Hindi in their own choice...they are free to do so ..already it has soft power thanks to bolly wood but it should be treated as just a other language...a foriegn alien to the state if mother tongue is different .

Fraud argument hai ye. Hindi/urdu is different because entire ~2 billion population of south asia understands it and speaks it to an extent. Exceptions are srilanka and tamilnadu. TN is the last bastion in India.

From Indian cricket team dressing room to Indian railways, north south east west sabhi log kon si bhasha me ek dusre se baat karte hain? Hindi ya angrezi?

Abhi jitna language, region aur caste issues chalaoge, utna khud ko expose karoge. The rest is upto you..

No it is not..Hindi is just the language of the North states..or rather some of the north states...it is in the same structure  as any other language spoken in India...just because people created more kids do not give it any supremacy...as for  division .it's bit rich coming from a BJP supporter as your party is based on killing people in name of religion...no one is against Hindi...we are against Hindi getting any supremacy in non Hindi speaking states where it is an alien language....all signs and education should be primarily English or mother tongue and students can choose any other language as third language...per their choice and it could be Hindi. That's what the constitution says...it doesn't provide Hindi any legitimacy. BJP is not welcome in many places precisely for the attitude you shared....India will never be a Hindi country .it will be country where all languages are spoken with equal right ..may not be equal number

People understand this because speakers of other languages have been very accommodative and put effort to learn it.

Whenever someone comes to my state and speak in Hindi..I make it a point to speak in my mother tongue...be it airport immigration officer bank officer etc...some are nice and switch to English...some not so much...and I ensure they get a different person.

I don't think people put effort to learn Hindi..it's that Bollywood  ensures people know Hindi and some people just speak due to similarities. And this guy says 2 billion people speak Hindi ..no a much smaller number can converse in Hindi when needed but not speak in Hindi. I

Abroad I could get a lady put on leave  from the bank for  racially profiling me and saying as I'm from India I should know Hindi and when I said no..she said tooti foot bhi nehi...sabko ana chaiye....normally don't care but how dare she has the audacity to assume every Indian should know Hindi.

This is common sense to use an Indian connect language for India. People have common sense. Not some  'accommodative' factor. People understand that when they go to another state, they will also like for other state people to understand and speak basic Hindi.

Likewise in Pakistan, people in Sindh, kpk and Punjab, all speak Urdu in addition to Sindh, pashto and Punjabi.

So, do not flatter yourself that you are being 'accommodative'....Hindi is the largest INDIAN understood by nearly 2 billion South Asians. It is just common sense to learn it and use it and all of india already uses it.

No ..what logic is this.

If I go to up I have to speak Hindi because that is the language of the state.

But if the up guy comes to my state I have to speak Hindi for his convenience. That's not gonna happen. He needs to speak in the states language or English ...I am not learning his language for his benefit.

That applies for any election commission ips ias cadre ..speak in English or the mother tongue of the state.

This outsiders need to be taught  that Hindi is an alien language to most of Indian states. So either they learn the local language or they speak in a commonly acceptable language.

And when is Hindi a connect language... People speak oriya bengali nepali pahari Punjabi urdu Kannada telegu marathi gujarati  tamil malayalam and so on... How come Hindi becomes a connect language. This soft power of Bollywood can be tolerated but Hindi should be banished from road signs school curriculum..consigned as one of the  optional language...majoritialism will never be tolerated in a diverse country like India.
