Tell him to identify fast bowling prospects from Indian domestic set up without looking at numbers. Make a pool of 10 minimum. Current strategy and mindset would take Indian cricket to dark ages. Arshdeep- Yes, I don’t think Harshit can bowl a typical Siraj spell in helpful conditions when he can run through line ups even in white ball. I do agree Siraj can lose it under pressure too but so can Harshit. Siraj is more quality than Harshit in every benchmark. however Harshit is better than the other trash we are trying:

Arshdeep has that skill, Bumrah is Bumrah even though his new ball spells don’t get too many wickets. this Vyshak type bowlers are like Harshal Patel etc who are decent with cutters etc or wide Yorkers at the death. We need food new ball bowlers even in T20 raki05 and nevada 2

Also will be interesting to see what wickets he is getting, sometimes in loi slog over bowlers can get 3-4 wickets and improve their numbers. Not disagreeing with you but just on some quality benchmarks of skills- Siraj is a league above at this point with all his flaws in white ball. Edited November 21, 2025 by maniac

T20Is: its laughable when we dont have enough backups for T20Is..we are world champions..and having regressed in Tests..and ODIs arent getting played that much anyways..We are trying to be the best in T20s..but the situation says otherwise.. 1- Welcome Gill..disturb whatever was working so far for us..with Samson and Abhishek 2-Not enough backup pace bowlers who are responsible..need to be questioned.. singhvivek141 and express bowling 2
