ravishingravi Posted December 11, 2025 Author Posted December 11, 2025 Well I have to call this out for anyone who has seen or not seen this film. It's not a documentary approved by five eyes. It's a masala spy thriller rooted in some real world events and some fantasy. It's literally in the 2 minute long disclosure. It's at best fantasy take on historical events like Inglorious basterds except with some factually corroborated events. And that second part is genius.
kepler37b Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 This movie is a pan india multiplex hit. It is very much UNLIKE pushpa. Pushpa was a hit among masses and single screens.

In the Manchurian Candidate (1962), an American soldier is made a war hero for the Americans by the Chinese so he can rise in politics to eventually become the US President. The Part 2 of Dhurandhar could touch upon this concept, while also giving the backstory of Ranveer’s character (most likely based on a Dirty Dozen type character). Your knowledge of movies .. zen 1

Superstar culture is finished now in Bollywood....Vicky Kaushal did an amazing work in "Chhava" and "Sardar Udham Singh" while Sid Malhotra in "Shershah"...yet they couldn't keep it up. In a way it;s good...we need the writer/director dominated movie industry. raki05 1

The cult of Kohli in this phorum is an example, before that there was dhoni and Tendu before that. Same for movies also. There might be lull, but we will get back to normal service soon. raki05, Sgattick10 and singhvivek141 1 2

Even Shershah was a OTT release so even Kartik Aryan would have made same impact as Sid. Ranbir is definitely the superstar though. That guy gets big budget movies easily, is scion of Kapoor family.. acts well enough. He is definitely far ahead of likes of Kaushal and Ranveer as of yet. Laaloo and Sgattick10 2

Not to mention, majority of these so called "superstars" have joke of a personality in real world...which when exposed courtesy of SM dents their image. Likes of MS, Tendulkar, Kohli were of present SM era..hence they escaped this criticism. raki05 1

Nah, Kaushal is better actor, Simply because when I watch his movie, I dont see Vicky Kaushal, But just the character he is representing. Saying that, for first time, Dhurandhar, I only see Dhurandhar and not the actor behind it Mariyam and raki05 1 1
mishra Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 ^ Similar to Gangs of Wasseypur. You dont see any actor like Manoj Bajpayee. You just see a Harami sorak and raki05 1 1

Not talking about raw acting skills, in general Kaushal is definitely superior. Ranbir has been there longer and his filmography is bigger and better.

May be he is getting movies but on acting alone both R cant tie Vicky shoelace.
