Markets open I guess. This is such a charade.

End the war in a single shot. None of this 2 week or 45 day ceasefire.

This is not a test match with tea and lunch breaks in between.

Temporary halt on hostility perhaps but will Israel accept? Munira in touch with Vance since last night

Shooting down a couple of planes does signify that Iran has Air Defence aided by Chinks mostly.
But, every sane person will know that losses are common in war.
What matters is the end result, US may fail in achieving the objective, but assuming that Iran would be able to stand after this is wrong. They've literally finished the Iranian stockpile of missiles and leaders. Once the Euphoria of war will die, Iran and Iranian people would realize how much they've lost.
US may be able to build up in next 5-7 years, Iran may take another 30-40 years to come back to pre war state.

Use the same logic of Russia Ukraine war here, while Russia too have suffered heavy losses, it can still continue the war. Ukraine has lost everything, even if they stalemate, their country has to rebuild itself from the loans by West.

Strategically you can say US failed to meet it's political objective, but militarily it has crushed the Iran to the floor. They may become another Afghanistan/Iraq, prblem for the neighbours, but US won't have any issues.

US has failed in it *military* objective of wresting the Straits of Hormuz free from Iranian control.

You can spin it as you like.

US can keep bombing girls schools, bridges and civilian infrastructure in Iran all they want. In spite of all this Iran has the ability to arbitrarily punish ships going through Hormuz. That is not what victory looks like.

US bases in the GCC have been hit and some been put out of action at least momentarily.

US President's language and threats don't come across as someone who has won. It's the uttering of a person who expected a walkover but got a fight on his hand instead. Like how a bully would react if a smaller guy gave him a bloody nose.

A person who has won doesn't have to declare 20 times in 30 days that he has won.

Is this a fake Pakistani twitter account to appear important to the world?

No other channel is carrying news of the cease fire. Most channels say Iranian officials are taunting Trump about his 656732787th deadline to re open Hormuz.

Hi Mariyam,

Don’t say “ no other channel is carrying this news “ , “ fake news “ … etc etc with so much confidence. Spectator index is a very credible handle.

Thank you !

@rangeelaraja, the negotiators are Israelis and Americans, no Iranians. They also went ahead by stating that the chances of a deal are slim.

I do not blame these news channels, they are doing their best to save the market by fabricating hypothetical scenarios and selling them as facts to offset the effects of deranged posts from the president of the most powerful country in the world.

Reliable as multiple outlets reporting it now including axios

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says Tehran has finalised its demands amid recent proposals to end the war – but will reveal them only when appropriate.

Spokesman Esmail Baghaei stressed that Iran will not bow to pressure, IRNA news agency reported.

“The fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran presents its views very quickly and bravely in response to a plan should not be considered a sign of surrendering to the enemy.”

“From the moment this discussion was raised, we have formulated our responses. Whenever necessary, we will clearly inform you.”

Looks like some more exchanges will take place and some version of ceasefire may happen.

I agree with your points that US has been caught by surprise and never expected the retaliation even in dreams.

I have mocked them so many times, that they are losing their "stealth" fighter jets to so called ancient drones and Air Defence.

But, if you look it from destruction POV, Iran has taken a massive hit. It has suppressed the news, but there is no denying that there might be internal chaos within the society while they struggle to live their lives. Iran, even if survives may break up into different militia groups like in Afghanistan & Iraq. Every infra and bridge attack is a hit to Iran, war needs fuel and infra, and Iran is losing it.

The beautiful Iran which we all knew about is gone now.

You are already assuming that gulf countries will be immune from any attacks. If they can do precision strikes at Dimona, obliterating their desalination plants should not be hard and will send gulf countries in total chaos.

Nobody can take on the US military single handedly, not even China. But Iran here is making sure that even if it loses the war, it will ensure to bring down the US hegemony with it, once and for all.

And this is not war euphoria, Iran is doing what any sovereign country would do. None of this "fatherland motherland" nonsense.

No one is immune to anything, and I'm sure than whatever Iran is doing is for its own safety.

Tomorrow China can attempt take Taiwan and in process may launch barrages of missiles in US.

I am just stating, that while we are celebrating that US has been gotten a bloody nose in the war. Iran is literally half way down...and just struggling to land its hands and legs. The amount of missile and drones strikes which Iran was doing at the start has gone significantly down.

Its a war of MIC now, just like Russia Ukraine...longer Iran is able to throw punches, longer it will survive.

Iran is fighting this war strategically. They're not going all jazba junoon and utilizing all their resources. That country produces chess grandmasters for a reason.

They have likely kept certain missiles reserved for key locations, and would launch them at the time they deem right.

I *asked* if this were a fake news account on twitter.

Have been reading for 2 weeks now that JD Vance is going to meet the Pakistani PM/ Generals for cease fire talks.
