The BCCI doesn’t have to take a decision now on whether we tour BD. Much will depend on relations between the two nations.

But given what happened with Bangladesh refusing to play in India, what are your recommendations and why?

Yes or No answer sonly please.

The India cricket team is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in September 2026 to play the Bangladesh cricket team. The tour will consist of three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) matches. This would be the first-ever bilateral T20I series between two sides held in Bangladesh.

In January 2026, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, as a part of the 2026 home international season.

My opinion is we should not tour this September.

Reasoning:

First,  we should not forget that by refusing to play in India citing security, they offered a massive provocation.

Second, we should let the full impact of “Your - decision -led -to - these consequences-so- enjoy”, play out for present BD and BCB management.

BCB still has not suffered to the extent they should.

Third, they did it in tandem with enemy Pakistan.  That too is unforgivable.

Fourth, let their new found brothers Pakistan tour them instead.

Also don’t say we’re not coming  ever. Just utter vague messaging postponing the tour to an unspecified future.  Keep the promise of a tour, but fulfil it only 2 or so years from once they suffer the full consequences, and also make amends.

They tried to sabotage our tournament, we have to extract a heavy price. No bilateral cricket with that country for next few ftp cycles, not just this. Announce it loud and clear.

I think it depends on the steps the new government takes to stop the murder of hindus and minorities there. This is more political rather than something on whether Bangladesh tried to destabilize our tournament.

Let's see what the political moves are by the incoming government. Let the Indian government have talks regarding the issues between both the countries. Also some leeway from them regarding the Hasina affair. Then the government can look at confidence building measures(Out of which cricket is certainly one).

We don't have to take the decision just yet. But Salo ko aukat mein rakhna to hai pehle.

If they stop their anti India rhetoric only then it makes sense.

Then what is the punishment for their sabotage attempt in this WC? They joined hands with Pak to blackmail India, we let them walk away scot free? Nah, no tour for next 10 years, we can reevaluate after that.

BNP is as anti-India as it gets. Host many Pak and NE terror groups whenever they are in power. Just that compared to Jamaat, they may appear the better option. But actually, BNP is much more sinister than the mullahs.

No. They should have consequences of pullout drama

We can invite Nepal in that window. Full crowds guaranteed

We must absolutely as long as there is no security issues and BD government is ready to engage in a constructive manner.

But we must also ensure that for the 2026 FTP schedule Team India only constitutes u19 players - Vaibhav, Mhatre, George, Kundu et all. We need to give them some exposure and this can be a handy opportunity for them.

Question is can BCCI show their writ  by not including Kohli, Rohit, Gill, Pandya, Sharma, Bumrah, Surya, Siraj etc. Or will they bend over at the first call from their corporate sponsors?

Yes,. India doesn’t have Pakistan level enmity with BD, you have a new govt. In BD. There is a choice between one upping each other or establishing ties.

It could be emotionally satisfying to not travel, but you need to look at it from the long term perspective. India needs to secure its longest border with a foreign nation. To this end it should have good diplomatic relations with BD.

This! They got a new govt recently and no point in antagonizing them. If they're willing to work with India, go ahead. But send our A team as there's no point in sending the main players. Send folks like Suryavanshi, Jaiswal, Vipraj Nigam, Parag, Bishnoi etc. who're on fringes.

INDIA DOESNT but that absolutely do NOT matter.. they see india as hindus aka kfirs only... their holy book tells them kfirs arethe real enemies of momins... n thats where the hate comes from its all about religion for them also same reason 99% have forgiven their ummah brothers for all atrocity committed 50 yrs ago.
