He has been a MP/MLA since 1998...I think he was the youngest (26) to become. Already has 28 years of experience....is in early 50s..time is ripe to bring him in instead of bringing someone who will be hitting 60s or 70s. UP 2027 is anyway going to be the key, but the biggest issues as per me is that Yogi isnt from RSS and he is from GC community. Both might go against him...as RSS might not feel obliged to back someone who's not one of theirs.

What maybe challenging is how to make his image of a Hindu monk acceptable in foreign countries...SG perhaps is the start of the same. I am sure once Yogi is announced as PM candidate, the narrative will openly callout that India is becoming a Hindu fascist nation. BJP's core hindutva votebank is yearning for Yogi i.e. more agressive than Modi. Fadnavis is universally likeable,both nationally and internationally, with intelligence, gentlemanly soft voice n gestures, great politician as well but is a couple of notches less agressive than Modi. Voter is kingmaker so probably we will get a Yogi.
