In pressure matches we still needed Pandya. There's a reason Aussies have gone 0-5 against us in ICC tourneys when we had Pandya in the team. Pandya is unbelievable in handling pressure and making key contributions. He's the very definition of a "big match player"

One is a generational Fast bowler who can win you matches on his own in all three formats in any conditions...Can pick wickets...can contain runs. Can bowl better than anyone else in the death overs..

 

And the other is a mentally strong seam bowling all rounder who can easily do the job of 2 players at once and is also a phenomenal fielder (atleast for our standards) and is the most clutch player we have ever produced.

 

We'll do well to replace these two ..

Both debuted in same series against Australia in Australia. India hammered aus 3-0 In t20s after getting smashed 4-1 in Odis. The manish pandey century series.

Have some hopes from NKR, he needs to work on his bowling and speeds to get to Pandya level, his batting is at par with Ponds, but bowling he is no where close.

He has some potential.   He is our budget Dennis Lillee. Very similar action.  Also probably the fastest Indian in the outfield. They even discussed about who would run 100 meter faster Reddy or Glen PHilips. Also very athletic. A six hitter. IN T20 you don't need pace. You need control. thinking.   Ngidi spent fair amount of time with Bravo to master the slow ball. He was completely on the CSK bench. While he was on the becnh he learnt from Bravo. So Reddy needs some guidance. He can get better.

What happened to Raj Bawa ? He seems to have evaporated. Was seen as the next gen allrounder and his batting was improving leaps and bounds in last domestic season.
Raj Limbani was another one, though he is just 19-20. 
Nitish Reddy got the nod ahead of others but he is a batter first, his bowling is Vijay Shankar/Shivam Dube's level. Can work for T20s.

In terms of batting he is not close to Reddy. On debut tour he made centuries in Australian test series where we had unusually challengign pitches. Boxing day 100 is definitely top drawer stuff.  Raj bawa is never going to make a boxing day 100. He just has to work a lot harder than before. Everybody goes through inconsistent initial phase. Finn Allen was not even regular for a while.

How fast you think Reddy in comparison with Kapil?. Kapil was deceptively quicker. I say 135 k? Reddy doesn't have to bowl at that speed. Controlled 130k would do.  CDG type bowling. He should learn to move in the air and off the seam.

Kapil was taller as well no ?

Nitish Reddy is of the similar pace to Richard Hadlee.

Lets see ironically, a bowling line up of bumrah arshdeep rana reddy and axar in sena conditions might just work for reddy. Allowing him to bowl in the middle overs.

 

Issue is him bowling in pp and at death when we have packed the line with spinners.

Pandya currently is a must in white ball format as he adds so much balance to the XI. We were waiting for a pace bowling all-rounder for a long time and we finally found a match winning clutch one. For the future, I hope we groom RS Ambrish who took new ball for India U-19 and also scored some crucial runs. He can be a good replacement for Hardik, if he continues to work on his game.

He is the linch-pin of the white-ball cricket, there is no single replacement for him. If he is nt playing Ind team needs to make 2 changes, i.e chaging the whole structure of the team.

 

Theoretically Bhumrah can be replaced by another seamer, may not of same quality but there will be no change in the structure of the team.
