What will ICT do without Pandya?

Pandya had a good half match with the ball. The penultimate over was really good even if the damage was done by Bumrah before.

But overall he's a predictable bowler who's very injury prone. Also it's easier to set fields for him.

Dube on the other hand is a far better batsman who is still lacking with the ball. I think with more experience, he has more upside than Pandya.

Individual skill wise many players can beat Pandya.

Are there better hitters than Pandya - yes

Are there better lower order batsmen than Pandya - yes

Are there better bowlers than Pandya - yes

Better fielders - yes

But he is rare clutch player in all dept, you can beat him with skill, in pressure battle. He can run hard, and make sure not to fumble while preventing a double in his fielding. He can make sure not bowl wrong ball at pressure game, if batsmen hit them it's their skill.

Bumrah wont be replaced. Once in gen bowler.

Pandya very tough to replace. Pace bowling ar.

Axar can be replaced but only handful of players that fit the mould. Ravi Bishnoi? But are they clutch.

Pandya can be replaced especially in sub. Under Msd you had Raina who was effectively a 6th bowler. Chipped in with 2 overs on regular basis. Need two axars + 3 pacers. Doable.

Pandya can be somewhat replaced in innovative ways.

Bumrah is the once in a century player for India. I can't remember the last time India had a world class gun bowler who comes up ace again and again and again and again and again under extremely tense situations. There is no one coming up in the domestic circuits with that level of control.

Those 5 yorkers will be written in history books if India wins on Sunday.

This version of Pandya is irreplacable. He has matured a lot.Bumrah bowled great 18th over but after giving up 6 on first ball, he not only took wicket but just gave away 3 runs.

9 runs in 19th over sealed the match. He has knack of picking up wickets, his wicket of Klassen was the turning point in last finals.

He is not afraid to take the ball at any stage, is he limited bowler yes but with both bat and ball he is willing to do the hard things.

I was his biggest critic but he has evovled into one of the best whiteball cricketers.

For Indian Cricket, Pandya and Bumrah are the first of their kind. We have never had such players before..

One is a generational Fast bowler who can win you matches on his own in all three formats in any conditions...Can pick wickets...can contain runs. Can bowl better than anyone else in the death overs..

And the other is a mentally strong seam bowling all rounder who can easily do the job of 2 players at once and is also a phenomenal fielder (atleast for our standards) and is the most clutch player we have ever produced.

We'll do well to replace these two ..:hatsoff:

I will add Pant as well to the mix. Hope he recovers his mojo. Before the car accident, he was on course to surpassing even Gilchrist. The number of clutch knocks he has played in tests, most ATGs don't do that much after 100 tests.

With so many passengers and freeloaders?

Pandya is our MVP along with Bumrah and out of the two I would pick Pandya first. Pandya is a true all-rounder in LOI and it takes 2 players to replace him. Plus he's clutch and shows up in big moments.

No one is irreplaceable except Bumrah.

Pandya is more ireeplaceable as you need 2 players to replace him. We've nobody close to replacing him.

Pant is suited to Tests and should stick to them. In LOIs he's not really a good fit.

There is no comparision with Kapil Dev.Kapil  could do everything Pandya can do plus he was a great bowler.Kapil could play all three formats ( if t20s were played then) and play very well.Kapil did not take so long to mature like Pandya.

Kapil Dev still is the most valuable player in Indian cricket history. Kapil dev would be still first name on team in all formats.

Hardik Pandya is an xfactor player for sure and first name on paper in Lois for Indian team. Having said that I have observed many times our balance gets better without him lol like in 2023 wc.
