What i like the most about this movie is - it has smashed the monopoly of Salman "bhai" who thinks that there is an unsaid understanding in bollywood that Eid releases are locked exclusively for his movies. It only weaves in real events to tell a fictional story much like in Hey Ram which took the assassination of Gandhi and Hindu-Muslim riots to tell its story. Why attempt to make a movie more than what it is supposed to be? At the end of the day, it is a vehicle for entertainment, NOT a documentary (it does not claim to be one), not another tool for the social media trolls to spam their agenda, not an attack on behalf of India (if such a film is made in Pakistan, would be bother?), not a medium to educate foreigners (as if they care in general), … I see a variety of funny posts where people are using the film to attack anything from religion, political parties, other actors and film makers, to so on!
