rkt.india Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Panic buying. Sab ke cylinders ek sath khatam ho gaye ye lagta hai.
Lone Wolf Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Seems normal in my place and city and even the cities around me. Seeing the videos the dehat seem to be more effected
singhvivek141 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 No issues so far here in Hyd. But videos of panic buying is surfacing. Saw some videos where people are filling up cannisters of petrol. Such panic buying will obviously create some issues.
coffee_rules Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I think the panic being might have been induced by the government itself because they said they have bought kerosene as alternate in case of LPG shortage. Can you imagine going back to kerosene stove? mishra 1
mishra Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Panic is unavoidable till a pottential solution is put in front of people. Righnow, Everyone knows that there is no time bound solution. Global markets are leading from front to create the panic. Media and oppositions are just facilitators to Wolf of Wall Street.
rkt.india Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Blame govt. Gas price increase created the unnecessary panic. Everything was normal before that.
Bigg Brother Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Crisis is there. LPG crisis affects mainly lower middle classe, other people have PNG reaching there apartment/flats.

LPG crisis affects mainly lower middle classe, other people have PNG reaching there apartment/flats. 1. No major country uses LPG except india. 2. Induction is the best, most efficient and the most used arnd the world, esp. in developed world. No nitrogen dioxide pollution in kitchen and no heating of the air 3. Next comes natural gas(Piped natural gas, PNG, which IGL etc. use). We have IGL connection and 1 induction cooktop (used regular). May purchase another. 4. Current crisis hopefully brings about trend shift and people use more induction cooktops. You can cook almost everything. Roti as well, but for only the roti, gas is more convenient. Indians can easily save 100% of gas import bill as 50% LPG is domestically produced and domestic production alone should be more than sufficient if we use more induction. Edited March 14 by randomGuy

This panic buying etc doesn't do anyone favours

I advised my new tenant in Bangalore the same thing. Get an induction combo stove top. Induction plus gas. In the case that Gail gas problem is there , you have the fall safe randomGuy 1

The recipes are all tailored for LPG. It will be a uphill battle for these cooks to recalibrate for Induction. But it should happen.
