The two got together last week in Mumbai, where Yuvraj is understood to have focused on both skills and temperament aspects of Pant's game

 

We haven't seen Rishabh Pant, the most expensive buy of the 2025 mega auction, since he suffered a side strain on the eve of the ODI series against New Zealand in January. Pant, who is not a first-choice pick for India in white-ball formats, has been keen to sharpen his batting and, in that pursuit, it is understood he sought out former India allrounder Yuvraj Singh to spend some time with him. The two got together last week in Mumbai, where Yuvraj, who was recently seen working with Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, is understood to have focused on both skills and temperament aspects of Pant's game.

Pant, who is Lucknow Super Giant captain, is in Chennai this week for the franchise's pre-season camp before heading to Lucknow, where the main camp will be held.

"He'll be ready to go. He's training at the moment," Justin Langer told ESPNcricinfo on the sidelines of the men's Hundred auction. "We've got a camp going on at the moment, so I'll see him in a couple of days. He's firing, and as I said, with all champions, they don't stay down for long. His last game last year in the IPL, we saw how brilliant he can be, so that's our expectation for him this year."

Its a good that Pant is serious about its prospects.

Ishan Kishan & Sanju have made their way in T20s...Pant & Jurel are in Tests.

ODI is a Grey area right now where KL is the incumbent...but soon either of Kishan, Jurel or Pant may break in the MO given KL is already 34.

Kela should be kicked out for the sake of the team

Emits such negative vibes it rubs even on field umpires and they start raising  fingers hurting with umpires calls against us

I never felt ease when Kela is at the creaes. Even in Tests he conveniently gets out just befor elunch, just after lunch, just after landmark.

It is not just pant. Many guys have to work on certain things

 

1) Kuldeep both with bat and fielding

2) Sundar has to learn how to bowl doosra

3)  Entire unit needs practice on turning wickets

Most of his innings are wasted because his runs don't help the team win. but there are some innings are useful match winning rarely some matches

Too much competition in wk batsman slot. Kl Samson Kishan. All icc trophy winners.

Kuldeep, even if he learns to bat. He doesnt have power in his shots.

He is kinda like Murli Karthik with the bat...can hang around but cant hit big shots.

Pant was the wk in 2024 T20 WC. Was the highest scorer in the win against Pakistan on a tricky pitch.

Pant needs to reduce his weight and sharpen his reflexes pre 2021 levels to be anywhere near LOI sides.

I hope Pant has a good IPL season! It hurts to see him struggle while newbies are thrashing bowlers around for fun!

INdia has conveyer belt of keeper batsmen.  ABhigyan Kundu will rule the root in a couple of years.

Apart from 1st game vs Irl he struggled each an every game, he payed every game with overall Sr of below 130.

 

Even the game vs Pak where he scored 42, think there were 4-5 catches were dropped of his. When ever he tried to hit he was not able to make good contact.

He was more or less jst swinging the bat.

 

KL is a problem but Rishab is not the solution

Urvil Patel is an X-factor player. But we have no data on how he might do well in various conditions. But on road wickets he can be a serious X factor.
