If you read kalki puran this is the golden age of kaliyuga the first 10000 yrs after that the second 3rd and final age of kaliyuga begin and the question of Sri kalki avatar is known to him or his trikal devotees or siddhas NO one knows what lies
Lone Wolf Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Bhavishya Malika states something similar that All Western countries+ Muslim world (13 Muslim countries) +, China will attack India and Russia Germany Japan will support India. 6.5 years of sheer destruction and then Kalki Avatar will be the one to make sure India wins eventually and a beginning of new spiritual era There are many fans of this theory
New guy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) Just like every Christian believes that Jesus second coming is going to happen during their lifetime and Muslims believe dajjal will come in their lifetime, Hindus will believe kalki will happen in their lifetime When has human history been devoid of war and disease and destruction? We have gone through way worse things in the past. Rise of the right wing and spread of ignorance and misinformation everywhere always have been a portent to such things in human history. A vicious cycle which keeps repeating Edited April 25 by New guy Gollum and Lord 2

A vicious cycle which keeps repeating Yeah, medieval era was probably the worst when it comes to human suffering. So many wars, conquests, massacres, plagues, witch trials, then colonialism which wiped out entire civilizations in South America and so much trauma in Asia/Africa, World Wars, famines etc. Despite all the bad things in the world right now, we still are in one of the most peaceful and just times in human history. We have never had better healthcare and access to medicines, clean drinking water, sanitation etc. Famines are rare and even if something of that sort develops, rest of the countries will come in to help (recall the charity efforts, aid money raised during Ethiopian Famine in early 80s). Wars toh chalta rahega but there is some form of rules based order, Geneva accords, Red Cross etc which were unimaginable even 200 years ago. Kalki ya Jesus ko aana hi ta toh they could have come 500 years ago. Who knows, maybe Mayans and Aztecs would still be with us. Edited April 25 by Gollum Lord, BacktoCricaddict and New guy 2 1

All true, and every one of these accomplishments can be traced back to scientific advances. Based on the data to which you have alluded, I was extremely optimistic about the ability of science and technology to alleviate human suffering. But CoViD and the anti-science backlash that followed (some of it precipitated by draconian regulations, but most of it due to evidence-free fear-mongering) has hampered this progress. I am in pessimist-mode right now, and not sure if the correction will come any time soon. Gollum 1

Sure, scientific advances have alleviated a lot of human suffering but there have been other players as well. Abolition of slavery Civil rights movement Modern democracy Women's suffrage movement (India had universal franchise before USA and few other western countries) LGBTQ rights Geneva Convention (PoWs related) Even in India, before our freedom struggle, base was set by social reforms, particularly the renaissance movement in Bengal. Sati ban, widow remarriage, girl's education (Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar accomplished so much!!!!), so many anti-caste movements from different parts of the country. Later our land reform movements, forest rights, empowerment of tribals etc. List is long. BacktoCricaddict 1

A vicious cycle which keeps repeating Haan bhai! RW is the root of all evil, pata hain! But, to equate all beliefs like you’re doing, Kalki is not the basis of Hinduism. Jesus and Pigamber are for Christians and Muslims. Maybe about one percent of Hindus that too Vaishvaites believe in Kalki. There is no concept of judgment day or Qayamat in Hinduism. Our timeline is cyclic and not linear like the desert religions. At some point, people have to realize that liberalism has failed. The world and pluralism is what we need to embrace in future. someone 1

Never heard of anything of the sort. The concept of the "Dajjal" doesn't find any mention in the holy Quran. It is from the hadees ( shahih bukhari). Did a google search on the relevant hadees but found nothing to indicate that the belief you mention is canonical. It could simply be medieval folklore.
